Aqua Jumbo Houseboat- Alleppey & Kumarakom - Tour operator in Kumarakom - Kottayam, India

There are lots of boats to choose in Alleppey and Kumarakom but, trust me, book this one. My father and I did an overnight trip from Kumarakom. Maneesh, Manikuttan and Abesh were amazing and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and helped us organize transport from the departure location. The FOOD was so good and they were attentive to our dietary requests and preferences. We were able to use the fridge to keep our items cold as well. The bedroom was comfortable and we slept well overnight. The trip itself was stunning and our local crew were able to tell us lots about the area. Overall, an unforgettable experience and a MUST DO in this area.

Feels like really the part of God's own country This is really palace on water. The whole experience is unmatchable! We stayed there for 1 day/night last august. They took us around the complete mangrove crossing many beautiful locations. The docking area in the night is super awesome as it seemed like an infinity pool of lotus on one side of the dock. Food too was extremely fresh and tasty. Oveall it was a very heavenly experience :)

Food is okay, staff and service is good. Could have added more AC's considering the humidity and hot during peak summer time. Overall worth taking houseboat for day sailing

Had a pathetic experience here. We went there in April 2023 with 3 families. Food was ok, location was good, but the real problem started with AC. It was all good in the evening when they switched on, but then around 11pm all the 3 rooms AC stopped working. In summer, with kids, it was horrible to stay without any ventilation or AC. We end up sleeping in the corridor with mosquitoes. Never again with these kind of services.

Highly unpopular opinion but living in a houseboat in the backwaters is a little overrated experience. And, I have reasons to back my opinion -1. You cruise the backwaters but around 6 pm you dock for the night near land where nothing is close by. Rather, spend the day cruising and go back to your hotel room is a better option. 2. They do not have the infrastructure you would need to spend the night - proper functioning toilets and insect free rooms. Insects are expected since you're on the water but we could have easily gone to our hotel/home stay rooms. 3. Fixed menu for food. A lot of people might not be okay with eating the food that is served. 4. Overly expensive. Boathouses cost anywhere between 9k-25kOverall, it was an incredible experience but not what I would recommend. Book a room in one of the backwater resorts - there are many and take a boat ride in the backwaters. You'll still find it cheaper than spending the night in a boathouse.

Had a splendid day tour. Good houseboat with great staff and delicious food... The bed rooms are air conditioned and well maintained wash rooms too. My nephews enjoyed a lot. Staff was very cooperative. As we had many vegetarians among us, they had made a menu to accommodate all of our interests

This houseboat was ABSOLUTELY GREAT. It felt so homely !!!! There was a large verandah which provided a great view. There was also a music system and a television which we used to the fullest. The crew did a lot of great work. The chef made excellent vegetarian food for us, the sailor took us to the beautiful areas in the backwaters of Allapuzha and their leader guided us well and took care of our needs. There were 2 rooms which were decently sized and had an attached toilet. Their routine was well organized and took care of our needs seen when they prepared breakfast at 3 A.M because we had a flight to catch. Overall, the experience was great, thanks to the kind crew and the comfortable houseboat which gave a homely feeling

Hospitality is very Good. Crew members are Very Good. Food is highly Delicious. Served Welcome drink, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea and Evening snacks, Fruits , Juice. Ambience of the boat was Average.
