Apple Point - Tourist attraction in Kufri - Shimla, India

Horse ride was fun but not in November and as usual overpriced adventure activities which are worthless, did zip line which was 250 including site seeing bought at spot which was being charged over 1000 at Kufri booking office

Nothing much to see there,,, A few apple trees which they call as apple garden,,, me & my wife were there on 05/06/2022,,, If you wanna do some small adventure like horse riding on a manmade worst rock and mud path & a short couple zip lining, or rope pool etc then ok,,, Otherwise for only view purpose it's waste of time

The place is beautiful but the guides are a super scam. Apple point has nothing to do with apple except for a couple of gardens that are decorated just for public eyes and the trees have fruits that are quarter of the size of an apple. If you really wanna see real big apples you should visit the Manali valley along with basti and kullu. This place which is called apple point is everything except Apple. There are half a dozen joy rides including zip line and go carting which they claim is the highest in the world, well clearly they haven't been to China. The place has scenic views and that is honest. The guides will offer you 400 bucks per person to enjoy a drop and pick facility to the garden and 1 ride free in the apple garden. That is a huge scam. They will not offer you a drop, instead they will show you that the entry is just 50 metres and after you trek your way along the mountain village for about 2-3 kilometres they'll pick you up and drop you at just after 200 metres which is the place you started from. Please do not take the bait and walk you way to the villages, there is nothing in the apple garden , just 2 apple trees which have been forced to give birth to a bunch of Apples. There is zip line and joy ride but 400 per person. You can still enjoy the hill villages for free if you do not fall for the guides and the operators there. Yes there are telescopes on the apple point and they will charge you ...guess what?? 500 bucks per person just to show you the villages on the next mountain. I'm sure telescopes do not run on batteries. Did I tell you , you need to hire horses 500 per person to reach the apple point and they offer you package 1500 per person that includes the apple garden stuff as well. The horse ride is for about 1.5 Kms and you could say it's worth 500 per person. But after that you'll be disappointed.

Taxi drivers will drop you to the pickup point from where you would be asked to get a taxi of kufri to the point where you have to take a Ponies ride of some kilometers and then you will reach kufri.(ask your travel agent to direct drop you to the Ponies riding place. not much high and cars can go there often drivers take commission form local taxi drivers for their tourist you can take Ponies and can go walk too around 4 kilometers of walk would be there to reach at top of mountain place. There is apple garden a good view if in season else there would not be much in the apple garden. a awesome view from temple around mountain valley. fun-park is average or low. not much rides for adults there is some rides such as rappelling, climbing, rope walking, etc but don't expect much and zoo is interesting.

One of the best place nearby to Shimla to see. Snow everywhere. Beautiful views. But way to see kufri beauty full of risk. Maggi point , Tea point and other end number of shops to eat. Can't express views in words.

Yes the horse ride to the top here was amazing, adventurous.. Because you have only one option to reach their by horse... The weather was awesome here ... The view was very beautiful form here.. So come enjoy the views, zorBing, tea, pakoda.... And yes Maggie...

Charges: for going to middle you will have to go on horse for uphill 1km which will cost 500 per person, then at telescope point you can take bolero ride for another 1km which they charge 250 per person (this actually you can go by walk), then for adventures, you can book separate package. In that 250 bolero ride you can get a free ride but make sure to write down the ride on the ticket. Apart from above some 30 rupees they will charge on horse ride way like toll etc.

This point is amazing, Mahasu peak, you can go either walking up the hill or a horse ride, which looks dangerous as the horses literally walk on the edge of the rocky and muddy roads. We went up on the horse and came down walking. Once you reach up there are a lot of stalls, eateries. From this point u can see the Himalayan mountain ranges, there's a guy with telescopes to show different points, its beautiful. Apple garden had no apples maybe off season. Coming down was fun and fast.
