Textile museum inside a restored haveli. Experiencing the architecture is just as interesting as the exhibits. Small gift shop inside as well as a coffee/tea counter just outside.
Must visit with kids. Hands on experience of block paintings is very entertaining. Both artists, block making ang block printing were very cooperative and explained tings patiently.

This museum is fascinating and beautifully designed. After wandering through a bunch of museums in Jaipur, we were thrilled by this little gem. The descriptions are vivid and there is a selection of block printing from all over India. Highly recommend!
If you like textiles, this is a great place. Seeing the history of block printing, and watching artesans continue the tradition by hand, is a lovely experience. The staff are informative, kind, and generous with their time. You can pay to be able to block print a handkerchief of your own. I recommend seeing the fort, coming here, and stopping off at the step well all in the same day as the trip out to this area can take quite a while
Beautiful heritage building. Amazing museum. When we visited unfortunately the block printer was not available for printing demonstrations. So it's best to call in advance and check. They have a museum store, which has really pretty products. (Bags, notepads, printing blocks, skirts, kurtas, pants, postcards, bookmarks, shawls, scarfs, educational diy kits, gifting boxes, keychains etc) It is a small store with limited products. (Price: higher side, premium products) There is a small canteen area where you'll get tea, lemon soda etc. (Only beverages).
Rs80 Entrance fee is good enough to visit the museum where we can see the history and what is block printing together with the demonstration of making the wood design and printing. We can procure small pieces of the block printing in the shop which is recommended to buy
So hard to get to (luckily we were warned that taxi drivers don't like to take you here...being ready to get out and walk the 6 min from Amber Palace was helpful!) but so worth the effort! Very interesting museum about the art of hand block printing and an explanation of their work to reinvigorate the craft! They have a wood block carver and a block printer who will give live demonstrations. This is even great for kids!
