Andamanhomestay - Hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

While this is a very beautiful house owned by a lovely family who offers their space out to avid travelers, the experience was somewhat bittersweet. The room provided to us was clean, comfortable and equipped with the necessary things. However, the wifi offering was limited and restricted to one device per room. Furthermore, there was unexpected constructed noise going on during the day thereby making it extremely unpleasant and challenging in the room. The construction was not mentioned to us while booking which was a disappointment affair. The terrace area in the house was beautifully furnished for guests and provided a relaxing space to simply spend a restful evening.

An excellent option for a short stay at Port Blair. The Nobel family is extremely nice and warm. They took out time to come and speak to me on all the days I was there. The location is very close to the harbour from where the ferries to the islands leave. I stayed there for 4 nights in total, across a 3 week period. If having meals, do inform them in advance, so that they can keep it ready. The rooms were perfect for a night's stay. On my first night, they offered me the family room to stay in, which had a nice dining area too. Do remember it's a homestay and one is welcomed in their home. The rooms are on the ground floor and one gets the privacy to come and go as one pleases without really disturbing the family. Would prefer this option rather than a hotel for a short stay.

Lovely experience of being hosted by Mrs D and Shiraz at their home in Port Blair. Rooms were good, wifi functional and amenities all in order. Best part of the stay was the conversations with both of them, loved them all, learnt a lot about andamans, port blair and thoroughly enjoyed their suggestions which helped us work our travels around both port blair, other islands and north andaman! Truly warm, welcoming family, felt like we were at home! Would always be a pitstop for me at Port Blair in future.

Very spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly owners. They were very helpful and provided useful information in planning the stay at Andaman. Food was delicious. There is a terrace and good place to hangout. Very quite and scerene. Only issue is poor mobile signal in rooms. Not an issue outside the room or on the terrace. Will definitely stay again here for their friendly attitude and hospitality.

A beautiful home with beautiful people. Tanaz and Shiraz both are lovely people to talk to. The rooms are decent, clean, well maintained and easy on your pocket. The food is great and overall stay was very pleasant. Ask for her homegrown spices, they are really nice

I stayed with Mrs. Noble and family for a night, and it felt I was home. :) In just a few hours of my time with them, each family member ensured I am comfortable. Rooms were clean, and food was absolutely fantastic (Dhan sak was my fav, and I still remember the taste of the special tea). They arranged the pickups for me and recommended just the best things to see in Port Blair. Thank you for being an absolutely adorable bunch of people. I will visit again soon, to be Spiderman with Jihan, for Memo's love and for awesome conversations with Bakhtawar, Shiraz and Mrs. Noble. Oh and to spend more time with our celebrity, Tanaz! Loads of love to all of you!

Having spent a fair bit of time in India, I far prefer homestays as you actually get a good level of service. Andaman Homestay is a prime example of this. We were greeted at the door by Shiraz and shown to our room. The room and bathroom (and sheets) were clean on our arrival - somewhat of a rarity in India, and proved comfortable for our stay. We opted to have dinner at the homestay which was plentiful and delicious. We really enjoyed interacting with our hosts who were able to recommend nearby sights of interest as well as arranging autos to get there if we wanted. It was a shame we didn't find this place sooner.
