Anantya in the Village - Home Stay in Alwarthirunagari - Tuticorin, India

What a fantastic experience. An opportunity to stay in the middle of a small town, next to a splendid temple. The vegetarian meals were excellent, especially the thali.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Anantya, Alwarthirunagari and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. It is right next to the temple which is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu who is worshipped as Aadinathar. This temple is also classified as a Navathirupathi, the nine temples revered by Shri Nammalvar and located in the banks of Thamirabarani river. I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The heritage type room allotted to me was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. One of the highlights of the stay was the dining experience. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. This was not just a hotel stay; it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. I can't wait for the opportunity to visit again and relive the same level of comfort and hospitality.

Stayed at this lovely place for a day. Surprisingly good, neat and food is excellent. They have just 8 rooms and are well appointed with all amenities like hot water, air conditioning. What was the best part is the food. Be it the classic south indian dishes which they do a fabulous job at or even north Indian dishes like paneer were outstanding. They serve only vegetarian food and I'm sure even the hard core non vegetarian folks won't complain. Staff is extremely helpful & courteous and take care of your needs. This can be the ideal base for your nava Tirupati circuit or for visiting Thiruchendur like how we did it. You wake up in the middle of the village to the sound of the rooster announcing it's dawn. For city people this is definitely an experience

Serene and Spiritual We chose the place only because we had a great time at Anantya's other lakeside property in Travancore. But this turned out to be a whole new experience. The whole place felt spiritual almost. The heritage decor radiated a meditational vibe. IT almost felt like we were in a shrine rather than a hotel! The writings on the wall are from Nammazhwar(the spiritual guru from the region) and the paintings and frames are all super vintage art and real-life photography. A very sweet touch and a tastefully architected property. LOCATION: Located right next to the temple wall and nestled within the 'Agraharam' area filled with traditional Brahmin homes. A great base to explore all the nine temples of the NAVATHIRUPATHI circuit. DINE + DRINK: The best part of the stay was the way we were served our meals. Almost like a homestay experience where the cook and crew asked us what we wanted to eat and specially prepared it for us. ROOM: We stayed in Room 103(MALAYAMMAL), so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the courtyard from the sit-out; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Ok toiletries, better to bring your own. FACILITIES: No Gym or Pool, pure Rural chill SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to SHIVRAJ and RAMESH for sharing wonderful tips about what to see locally and hosting us warmly, ANU the housekeeping staff for setting up the room tastefully. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. No Television in the room, specially meant to make you unplug fully.

Nestled in the cozy picturesque town of Azhwar Thirunagari along the banks of Thamirabharani, this homestay is undoubtedly the best in the region. The aesthetic facade overlooks the majestic walls of the Aadhinadha Perumal temple. Exquisitely designed rooms with a traditional divine touch were definitely worth mentioning. Special mention to the young super energetic staff and manager who were super helpful and made our stay a pleasant one. The food was good but definitely had a scope for improvement. I'd love to visit them again !

Great location to visit the Navathirupathi temples. Anu helped us to visit the Tamirabarani river which was a great experience for city dwellers like us.

It was a great and comfortable stay. The staff at the reception were very warm and comfortable. The food was amazing, healthy and hygienic. It was a very good getaway from city life. This place is also very accessible to many other religious spots and the staff here are well aware to guide you

Great place to celebrate your village lifestyle with Excellent facilities and Great hospitality! The staffs were very supportive! Such a Divine experience behind Aathi Nathar temple, Can visit Naga Tirupathi around this place in just one day stay! Highly recommended
