It is situated in new market area, very popular and large in size. Cabin structure is till now available for the sign of haritage of Kolkata. Food quality is good specially you can try kababs. Perfect family restaurant, with reasonable price. This is not so luxurious but comfortable.

One and only pioneer hotel where ond can find variety of mogul style cuisine at the heart of Kolkata near Esplanade... They have biriani, kababs, chaps of both Mutton and chicken... Tandoori Roti along with Aminia special Mutton dish is really superb... Tastes are good and well maintained as per the tradition. But the quantity becoming less as compared to the price... Must visit place for all foodies who are interested to taste authentic Muglai cuisine...

Located in the New Market area, it's the very first restaurant of Aminia opened in Kolkata, serving authentic Mughlai / Awadhi cuisine to the gourmets of the city of joy. Established in the year 1947, it has been operating for more than 75 years now and is one of the heritage restaurants of Kolkata. This is the main outlet of Aminia which serves authentic recipes. If you have visited the other outlets which are located around the city, then you have not experienced actual flavours of Aminia. The biryani, chicken chaap, rezala and the kesar firni is a must have if you are here.

Food is still great at this heritage establishment known for its delectable Kolkata style biryani with the succulent mutton and aalu pieces, waiters on the other hand are somewhat of a nuisance, they serve the dishes you well but just wait for you, stand besides you, stare at you, to finish even though the entire restaurant (almost 20 odd tables )is empty...but I will ignore it because the biryani is good!

This is an institution and a tradition for our family. The biriyani here does not compare to any other restaurant in Kolkata and is a class apart. Apart from biriyani (both chicken and mutton), the chicken chaap, aminia special and firni are the dishes to die for. Must visit if one is in Kolkata. The prices are very reasonable as well and there are AC and non-AC seating areas.

The food has no flavor like sweetness , spiciness , saltiness like nothing . It is crowed place so the service is not too good but the stuffs are humble enough .The price is too high and the quantity is less . The food is too oily and they don't serve food carefully though . So overall experience is not great . The 4 pieces of chicken which might not be close to 100 grams which cost around 250 rs.

Biriyani taste is good but not too hot when it is served. That's why the biriyani taste is a little bit different from other times. Not satisfied. Ordering mutton biriyani, chicken biriyani, onion salad and thumbs up.

This outlet of Aminia located at esplanade is quite a busy one. The outlet has both ac and non-ac sitting. Coming to food, we tried the mutton biriyani (quality and taste has surely come to a certain level down). But if you are hungry the portion is enough for one. We also tried the salad and earlier had tried their mutton chap.....which taste really good. The service is also quite fast.....but sometimes in sitting one have to share with other people.
