The place has many on Google with different names. Ambaji Durga Hills, Ambaji Durga, Ambaji Durga fort etc. All these are the same place. Let me call it out that the place is ideal for all age groups. There's everything that you can ask for. Trekking, off-roading (bike or car), religious reason of just visiting a temple... whatever you decide or your frame of mind is in...this place can be an option you might want to consider. The visit should not take more than 3-4hrs or less depending on your convenience or fitness. The entry to the place/hills is right before the parking lot of the Kailasagiri temple. It's a 3 kms trek or ride or drive leading to the 'Dustasamhara Veeranjaneya' Swamy temple which houses a 1700 yr old idol of the Lord Hanuman. There's ample parking around the temple. There are basic facilities available here too. Only one tiny shop with brands that are unheard of. So you might want to stock up on the water and snacks. There's a bhojanalaya here too serving hot food (rice & sambar) which is free. If the crowd is less, the priest would give you the history of the idol with great patience. From here you can head (trek) on the hill behind the temple. The trek roughly is only a 2-3 kms one leading to the Ambojeswara Swamy (Lord Shiva) temple at the hilltop. Devi temple is what comes first. There's a brass statue of the Goddess in this small temple. Then you make your way into the fort to ascend to the penultimate point. The trek is a simple one and the direction is marked throughout so you will not lose your way. On the top is the Lord Shiva temple, a small one which is said to be crowded during Mondays, auspicious day of the Lord. From here you can walk in the direction opposite the temple. Here in a small concealed chamber is a pond. There is a opening enough for you to kneel and see through. The water inside is so neat and clear that you can see the bottom of the pond. This water body is where it's said that Sita matha had been lighting Diyas. The water here is said to have healing ability and is suggested to be carried home with you. If you believe in the belief, pls carry an empty bottle to carry the water home. After you head back to the base, you can choose to relax a bit at the small shop or head to the bhojanalaya for some prasadam.

Off the beaten track - hardly people know or visit this place! There is a bit of off-roading that you need to do before you reach here. For bikes and SUVs it is a good stretch. Not so sure of low chassis vehicles - be very aware of that as there no option to reverse or turn around as you go up ahead on this path. There are few water crossings during rains - so look out for them as well. Once you reach the base of the hill - you will get some mesmerising views! It is worth it for sure. Trek up to the fort is not that strenuous. Take an easy walk and climb up - very short stretch is made of steps. Take your water and snacks as nothing is available up top. Fort is in ruins but there is plenty to walk around and soak in the views from up there. Due to less crowd - the place is maintained well. Please do not litter and leave the place as you found it. Bit off the grid but worth the while

A lesser known off beat fort that makes a lovely trek which is near the well known kailasagiri. Just before the parking lot for kailasagiri you have to take a mud road deviation on the left to get to the fort. Bikers can have a good off road experience but it is not advisable for cars with low ground clearance. I would recommend not to walk as it is in the middle of nowhere and no one around along the path. Coming to the fort, the path starts behind the temple and path is well laid out. It is a relatively easy trek with the path/trail well laid out and steps at places where it can be easily climbed. You can get to the top in 45-60m depending on your fitness level but would not recommend during rainy season as the rocks can get slippery. View from the top is amazing and worth it. There is a local shop that carries snacks, water etc near the temple but advisable to carry enough water and food but please dont litter.

Nice place to trek. The hill to view is beautiful. You can see everything from here, smaller hills white buildings of Chintamani etc. The breeze is hard and cool and it's good to sit and relax at top after treking.

So visited this place today! For bikers it's especially who love Offroad and if you want to hit the trials it's crazy! There are 2 roads for this fort! One is a normal offroad where four wheelers can come easily! And the other one is mad off road trials! One great adventure! This place has 2 forts and a shiva temple! And you need to hike for about 500mts probably to the top. And one sad thing is that i found a lot of plastic bottles and wrappers chips packets! Guys please try to understand whoever is visiting any of these places do not litter' no one will come and clean! It's like we humans have to happy to see and enjoy places like this! I really request everyone not to litter. Do visit with your friends and family and be a responsible traveler'
