Aloft Chennai OMR - IT Expressway - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

Check in process was smooth. Halez rooms are a la Aloft. There is nothing to complain. However, the corridor smelt heavily of cigarette remains. The hotel gave an excuse that a marriage group caused it, regardless I still felt no effort was taken to at least nullify the smell. Food taste was great. Everything we ordered tasted super. You even get complimentary chips or crackers. The coffee ordered to the room was cold, and again, there was no remorse when we mentioned it while checking out.

Spacious rooms, Very exquisite ambience. Not very close to the city but easily identifiable. The rooms were clean. Overall, we enjoyed the stay even though it was very short.

I had the lunch with my team. Quality is really good one.

Stayed here for 12 nights in March, when the Hotel was still with Aloft / Marriott chain. The overall place was shabby and the room carpets were not clean. Hotel staff at reception were helpful with what we need. Housekeeping was done alternate day, when request for. I'll not repeat this place. Looks the the hotel is no more part of Aloft from April last week.

We had come down for just a nights sleep in the place. The staff were not responsive. Also the key which they gave didn't work also. Again we had to come down till the lobby to get the keys rechecked. But the rooms were very clean and the ambience was extremely good. All the services provided was good. But the standards of the Marriot series was not maintained well.

Only stayed a few hours. Hotel seems geared up for the local IT crowd and not a general tourist place. Rooms seemed tailored to this . In hotel dining is purely Indian cuisine. The room was clean and cool but dated in areas (room safe looked beaten up, carpet was heavily stained around the desks suggesting it gets used a lot for in room currys). 2 person room was supplied with 1 toothbrush and 1 comb which was a bit odd. We arrived late (8pm) and they still had to clean the room which I've never seen in a hotel before where rooms are usually cleaned before check in opens for the day. Only 1 socket was "international" multi style socket, the rest were Indian specific plugs . Few broken bulbs in the room too. Room also had a pretty odd smell not usually associated with other Indian hotels I've been in (no idea what it was but took a while to get used to).

The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy.The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel.They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door.the rooms were clean, very comfortable, they went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.
