Happened to visit the park last year during the Christmas season. It was all decked up from Christmas to new year. A number of food stalls were setup and musical programmes were organized in the park. Go visit this park during the Christmas season and be part of the festivities.

Chowringee Road crossing. Good, clean and well maintained area. A beauty of green trees. Amazing place for kids to play and enjoy. It is also very popular from 25th December to 1st January.
It's such a pleasant place. There are slides, swings for kids to play and benches for visitors. There are lots of trees so many birds, squirrels and many more creatures are visible too. Starting from kids to old aged people come here to play or for a walk or just to get some fresh air. I and a friend of mine went there to practice our arts. And we had such a peaceful time. People around here also very nice and mostly don't disturb you (minds their own business) which is very appreciating. It's very clean and well maintained. You can also see some creative wall paintings . The paintings are amazing and the sculptures are also very pretty .

This is a normal park as others in Kolkata. But this one is decorated very beautifully in the time of Christmas. It looks like a place of fairy tale. Specially the lightings are just majestic!!
