Nice museum to visit. Good collection of old weapons
Palace is best but it is under construction right now. only musium is open for some days.
Their armoury is very big they have a beautiful collection of weapons. Also antique collections of the which one can easily imagine the life of the royal family .
Nice place to visit. You will get a historic feel. Armoury room, ancient weapons, old toys you can see here. You can feel British architecture. This is a very famous Place as Swami Samarth Maharaj mandir is there. Very holy place. Swami Samarth Maharaj blessings you will get there. It's 40 km from solapur. You can go by car, bus or train. The road is very nice. You can get Mahaprasad over there. Outside you can eat a nice breakfast.
Palace renovation is going on since 2023 is the centenary year for it. Still the Armory is in very bad shape. Many weapons rusted owing to non maintenance, rooms are stinking since water is dripping. Can't stand it for more than few mins. Felt bad to see important artefacts in such a bad condition They charge Rs 15 for the entry fee (All Cash, receipt is provided). The caretaker/ guide was reluctant to provide any information. Photography of the collection is prohibited
Don't waste your visiting this place just because their rude people's... No doubt the collection of arms in the museum is classic... But the palace is under construction now.. so the only 2-3 rooms are allowed to see... Staff who coordinates are very rude.. entry fee is 15 INR and they will allow to spend even 15 mins inside the museum... Only 3-4 people allowed to enter at a time... The person will be constantly stay around us.. he push us to see this that.. now here & there... & Finish... Now you can go... Very very rude behaviour.. staff don't have manners...
This erstwhile palace built in European style is worth visiting. It is an armoury museum now with Rs15 entry. Named "Bella Vista", bearing Akkalkot state emblem, this magnificent palace now consists of weapons and other collections of Bhosle family, particularly Shrimant Fatehsinh Bhosle. Needs better maintenance & place around palace inside the gate needs to be cleared of vegetation & good viewing experience should be provided.
Shri Swami Samarth, atishai Sundar asa rajwada ahe, armoury collection is very good and satisfied, having swards, guns, every lethal weapon of world war 1 you see hear along with animals, you have to watch 7 compartment of mouseum to become a part of history....

A must visit place if you go to Akkalkot. It is just 15 minutes walkable distance from the Vatavruksha Mandir. There are rooms available to stay in the Muth. Also free meals are provided at the Muth for all yatris.
