Akarsh Villa Resort - Resort hotel in Salem - Salem, India

* Most friendly and helpful Manager and the care takers ever, so lovely and great first impression of resort. Couldn't have been more sweet, giving me directions to the places of interest, ensuring parking in car park and facilitating an early check in. Everything was right with this homely resort, I left with a good impression. everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in the Room itself. The Resort is well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

I came across Akarsh Villa in ibibo and had booked 3 rooms for 9 of us friends, for a weekend trip. And as it happens everytime, everywhere, 2 dropped off and we were 7 of us. Anyway we decided to occupy the 3 rooms. Though the check in time was mentioned as 12 noon, we reached the place by around 11.15 and the manager checked us in immediately, after a brief courteous welcome. The rooms were simple, clean, spacious and good. The common areas were well maintained. The staff were very courteous and friendly too. We were provided with badminton racquets too, which made us have a good time by evening. We had ordered vegetarian dinner at the villa, which came to our rooms by around 8.30 pm. We had ordered chapati, plain rice, dal fry, gobi manchurian, veg curry, rasam and curd. The food portions were good and the quality too. The breakfast that we ordered for the next day consisted of idly, dosa, pongal and vada. They were quite good too. Our stay at Akarsh Villa was very comfortable and would recommend it to anyone. Special thanks, once again to the staff person, who called us after we checked out of the hotel, to inform that we had left behind a bag (it was the dslr, packed into its carry bag, which one of my friend carried along, and was stupid enough to forget)

Trust me, this place is going to easy on your pocket. It is approx half a kilometer from a city (yercaud lake), still better if you have personal vehicle. Parking space is enough for 4-5 cars. Lady's seat and Rose garden are walkable from this hotel. We, group of 4, stayed here in September 2015 and really enjoyed a stay here. Hotel staff is polite and quick-responding. Only cons is, they don't have a restaurant, but still provides food on request on reasonable rates. All rooms are clean and neat. Even they have a good terrace where you can enjoy your dinner or play some games if you are in group. Overall you will like this hotel on the first glimpse itself.

Hotel is good and average. Lot to improve on house keeping. some strange smell observed around environment, there is no room spray provided. Food needs to order well in advance. There is no Standard menu, even food rates are not mentioned, we will come to know once after billing, and tea & coffee are served in disposable cups which are not advisable, they keep us to demand for towel and other needs. Good officials and there are some power cut observed. There is no LED tvs. Remotes are not working properly. Observed the heater power lines are in opened stage.There is no intercom, we can call them on their mobile phones. In overall felt good... GOOD BUT YET TO IMPROVE A LOT FOR THIS COST...VERY SPACIOUS ROOMS...

It is a home away from Home and very pleasant stay. If you are not looking for a lavish environment, then you can book this resort. The food is simply superb and kudos to the Cook. Hope she keeps up the good work in near future. Prabhu (assistant) is very enthusiastic and hard worker and above all very humble. Manager is very professional and humble. Location is just near to Ladies Seat's (View point) i.e 500 m and all other main destinations are in and around 8 kms. If you love to enjoy the weather, location and scenic beauty and If you are planning to stay for 3-4 days, then you can walk and enjoy it. So over all i can say that 5/5 if you do not look for a 4/5 star hotel and just treat this a s home with plus and minus's.

I was not expecting that good north indian food in south but must say it was like home cook food. Service was good. All tourist places were approacable. Cooperative staff. During my stay, housekeeping didn't come but it was ok as i stayed for a couple of nights. Recommended for budget friendly average hotel with basic amenities.

Excellent hospitality and response from the hotel staffs. The rooms were very clean and cheap, worth for the money. They are providing home cooked food, so very hygienic. Thanks to the hotel manager Mr. Ismail, staffs, Mr. Boopalan, Mr. Robbin. Special thanks to their cab driver Mr. Ramesh, the cab driver who is very patient and kind. Thanks to the whole team, They are trying their best to make us feel like home, keep it up.

Good and neatly maintained rooms. Foods are prepared fresh and like that of prepared in home, but less varieties. Lawn is perfect for children to play. Friendly staffs and they take care of our needs very well. Good location nearby to lake and ladies seat. Car Parking available. Highly recommended for stay in yercadu with family and kids
