While the theme and atmosphere were pleasant, the overall quality of the dining experience left much to be desired. The taste of the dishes was disappointingly bland, which was particularly disheartening given the relatively high prices. The menu lacked diversity, and the cost of the meal did not seem justified by the taste or variety of offerings. I specifically found the Thali to be overly expensive when considering the value for a per-person ratio, making it far from worth the price. Overall, I was left with the impression that the restaurant did not live up to its potential, as the taste of the food was far from half as good as one would expect given the prices. Furthermore, my dining experience was further marred by the lack of vegetarian options on the menu. The absence of proper gravy dishes and the notably hard-to-eat chapati, which seemed both tasteless and difficult to chew, added to my disappointment. Even the rice, typically a reliable side, didn't provide the respite I was hoping for, echoing the same issues as the chapati. This lack of variety in vegetarian offerings, coupled with the subpar quality of some staples like chapati and rice, only contributed to the feeling that the restaurant fell short of expectations.

My friends and I tried their Chicken Thali and Lamb Mutton Thali, and we were blown away by the delicious flavors and generous portions. The food at Ahilyadevi's Thali Restaurant is simply delectable. The Chicken Thali was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with rich flavors, while the Lamb Mutton Thali was equally impressive, with succulent pieces of mutton cooked to perfection. It made it convenient for us to park our vehicles without any hassle, allowing us to focus on savoring our meal without any worries. All in all, Ahilyadevi's Thali Restaurant is a gem in Katraj. From the tasty food to the great ambiance and quick service, it's an excellent place to enjoy a scrumptious Indian meal with friends and family. If you love lamb meat, this is the place for you. We ordered lion chops, 1 chicken masala thali and 1 maharaja thali. In Maharaja thali, you have multiple options... You can choose starter, chicken/lamb dishes. Taste was owsome.

Good place if you want to try mutton thali. They serve lamb mutton only. We had paya soup which is not much hot, mutton ran was good but it was also not much hot, so unable to finish by 4 of us. Zelebi n khaskhas was good.

Ahilyadevi's Thali I visited this place for lunch and it is located near old Katraj ghat. The place is huge with huge parking space and ambience is village type wada and design. They have open kitchen and huge seating capacity. We tried Maharaja Mutton and Chicken thali and the thali was huge with all the items available in their menu and best thing is that you can share this share between two people. Taste is really good and awesome . It pure authentic Maharashtrain Non Veg food. Great taste and best place for non - veg lovers. Prices are high but worth the taste and ambience. I would highly recommend you all to try to visit here and try out their Lamb Biryani. Once your food will finish, they will serve you with sweets like jalebi as complimentary. And most of the important thing, the restaurant was clean to the core. Also, their staff were humble and rates out there were pocket friendly. This place definitely have a very retro-urban cafe vibe, beautifully planned out dinning area, ample natural light and top-notch asthetics. Every staff we met holds a very pleasing personality, have great communication skills. Coming to the food, we went for a Dhangari Kebab(as starters) & Sikandari Raan, topping 3-chapatis & 1-Bhakri(as main course). The raan came with a bowl of biriyani rice and rassa. 3 of us couldn't finish the whole thing and had to pack half of the rice and some good chunk of raan meat. Dhangari kebabs were soft, succulent and well cooked. We went for a medium spicy palette. The chutney served with it deserves a special mention. The showstopper of the afternoon was the `Sikandari Raan'. It costs 1500/kg and the minimum weighing one they had the time we went is of 1.5kg. Well cooked, soft mutton raan with mild spices felt heavenly and light to the tummy. Definitely going to try their thalis next time, soon.

Good place if you like mutton specially. Try the raan but ensure you are not dining alone, needs 4 people to chow down. Imp point - it gets super crowded (visited on weekend). Service is a bit chaotic. Have some patience and hogg in.

best thali in pune.. i tried 20+ thali restaurant in pune.. taste n quality n qty wise this is best thali restaurant. I tried Maharaja mutton thali sufficient for 2 person ( sharing is allowed for this thali) 950/- rs. n i love it. also try mutton biryani
