A huge open space with full of history, peacocks , chirping birds, old monuments, big trees, walking tracks, ..... A restaurant is also there. If you are in Sirhind Fatehgarh Sahib, have a brisk walk in it early in the morning and enjoy walking with history and nature.
I went there with friends on cycle from Chandigarh . To and fro 90 KM ride .
Aam Khas Bagh is a good place to visit as it shows our ancient civilization. The Aam Khas Bagh was constructed for the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The Aam Khas Bagh is located in Sirhind which is midway between Chandigarh and Ludhiana. Nice place to visit.
It is one of the most visible reminders of Sirhind's glorious past. This Mughal garden, located on Bassi Road of Sirhind, is open to the public and is owned and maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. The area is Huge.
The place is very serene and peaceful you can enjoy the chirping of different birds in the background.
Aam Khas Bagh translates to the Garden of the Ordinary (Aam) and privileged (Khas). The present-day Aam Khas Bagh comprises of the remnants of a highway inn that was constructed for the use of royals as well as the ordinary people.
A tourist complex called Maulasari is being run on the grounds of Aam Khas Bagh at present times.
I'm taking one star back because The garden and nursery are not well maintained, though many workers have started working on the cleaning process.
There are various Mughal era monuments in the vicinity of this garden that promote it as a tourist destination.
Visitors can take a walk through the ruins and marvel at the engineering skills of a bygone era.
It is a great place to visit but you will get bore quickly because there is nothing more to see apart from the garden and building. The restaurant nearby is costly.
There is no washroom or coffee/tea house to sit and relax.

The Aam Khas Bagh was believed to have been originally constructed by the Mughal emperor Akbar as a resting place or holiday inn. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan later rebuilt it. There were numerous palaces nearby, built to make the stay comfortable for Mughal rulers. The walled garden was divided into two parts - Aam for the use of public and Khas for Royalty. The palace compounds had a set of fountains, and the orchard was spread over 11 acres of land.
Beautiful peaceful public place for morning walk
Mughal era structure
The Aam Khas Bagh is a small remaining portion of the famous Mughal king Babur's highway inn. In the coming years, its renovation was done by Shah Jahan because many royal people lived here on the way towards Lahore. He even built an air conditioning room named SaradKhana in the Aam Khas Bagh, which attracts many historians.
