And each visit helps me discover something new, something extraordinary. Such is Agumbe's charm. I have been to lot of places. Everything was a experience and learning. But whenever I have been to agumbe the here is whole different. I highly recommend you guys to visit this place during monsoon and winter. Especially if you are planning for a bike ride means it'll be a heaven on earth. While coming to agumbe please make sure you are not littering the place and not disturbing the wildlife habitats. Agumbe rain forest is a nice place to visit from December to January 3rd week. after that summer starts and temperature increases. Near to agumbe some home stays are also available but they are costly. They will negotiate if you can convince. :) But its very good for one day trip from Manipal or Mangalore area.

Was at ARRS for a workshop on frogs for 3 days. The workshop itself was very informative & enjoyable. Stay & food were comfortable too. Visit ARRS to know more about snakes, frogs and other wildlife. If staying overnight, one has to inform them earlier.

YallaGo "The Taste of Travel" Agumbe Tripp - 1 @ sirimane falls Sirimane Falls is located at a distance of 5 km from Kigga near Sringeri , a popular pilgrim center. Nearest Airport is Mangalore and nearest Railway stations are Udupi (96 KM) and Shimoga (114 KM). Kigga, a small village which houses the beautiful waterfalls. Kigga is about 16 km from Sringeri. Water from falls feeds coffee estates and paddy fields in the downstream. A moderate entry fee is collected to maintain the walkways and viewpoints. The money collected also supports a small hydraulic power plant which is built adjacent to falls which lights Kigga houses. The entire activity is controlled and maintained by local bodies.......

Very hospitable staff. Mr.Ajay Giri is a master of snake rescue. We had assisted him for the rescue of 3 King cobras and two cobras.
