Best donuts I've had in my life. Not just sweet but really well balanced mix of flavors. My daughter makes me drive a half hour from Woodinville for these. My personal favorites are the Bavarian cream filled ones, but you can't go wrong. The coffees and Italian sodas are really solid, too, but the donuts are unreal. The owner is not only super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. His love for donuts, coffee and his customers is inspiring. Gotta pick up a doggie donut to take with me now
Best donuts ever. The owner is super passionate about crafting unique desserts. It is clear from the moment you walk into the store that he loves what he does and has this infectious energy that makes you feel welcomed. These donuts are so flavorful and different from what you will get from other shops. My partner and I got a cinnamon roll with pumpkin cream inside and it is so delicious! I will definitely be raving to my friends about Zuri’s and making sure they stop by to get the full grand experience.
I’m reviewing from a gluten free perspective. I make special trips down to Portland for gluten free donuts, but I won’t need to do that after finding Zuri’s! The shop has their gluten free donuts made separately and stored separately. They’re truly safe for celiac and gluten free peeps. They’re also delicious! I tried the Cherry Tree this morning, and it was so flavorful and moist. I can’t wait to stop by again to try the other flavors. I also love the decor and vibe. It made my nerd heart feel at home.
I am celiac and vegan, and I’m here in Mountlake Terrace visiting my friend, and I got so excited about the sheer number of amazing gluten free, vegan dessert choices! I got a BUNCH of different things (two kinds of cake, heaps of different donuts, a flan, two cake pops) and EVERY SINGLE thing is absolutely incredible. I think my favorites are the sour crumb, and the cookies and cream cake, but honestly, there’s not a single thing I’m not in love with. The number of flavors available and deliciousness and balance in the creations is unreal! We got to chat with the owner, DJ, for quite some time, and his passion for his craft is absolutely palpable. It seriously made our morning!! He is so obviously careful with how he keeps the gf stuff separate, and I felt 100% safe eating all the things. If you have food allergies (he also has many that are free of soy!) or just generally care about what you’re putting in your body, I can’t recommend Zuri’s donuts enough!!! It’s an absolutely wonderful spot! We didn’t eat in, but the interior was also adorable. 100% recommend visiting! I will absolutely be back when I’m next in Seattle! My friend, who is able to eat dairy and gluten tried everything with me and loved it all too!
The donuts were the best I've had in the greater Seattle area by a long shot! The flavors were all so decadent and rich, and each flavor was either extremely unique or had DJ put his own spin on it. DJ was so sweet and engaging when I went to get donuts this morning. You can tell he's passionate about his craft and cares deeply about the ingredients he's using. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and probably won't be going anywhere else for donuts. Check it out!
We love Zuri’s! We go here every couple months because it’s a bit of a drive, but we should come her more often. Today we tried the Sorry not Sorry, with butter icing and a crunch crumb topping that is unparalleled. We always love the fun rotation he comes up with, and they’re always good!
I am restricted to gluten-free due to celiac. I saw rave reviews for gluten-free donuts here. I requested my son pick some up, on his way home, as he lives in the area. I was very disappointed to see they are cake like. I was under the impression yeast raised, and real donuts were available. Second, they are all made with protein powder and far, far, far too much sugar. Even my spouse, who loves hershey's white chocolate (sugar and milk bomb), found them too sweet. The service, I was told, was not great either. He just grunted and pointed at a fridge case when asked about gluten-free. The search for a celiac safe, gluten free, yeast donut continues.
Amazing donut shop! I stumbled upon this place while in town and I was happily surprised. The selection is insane and changes everyday. Obsessed with the star wars theme. The owner has such passion for his work and it’s clearly reflected in his creations. Try everything!!
