first i love what they stand for. next i loved that they took the time to explain their history to me. its more then just a party.
This was at Glapion Hall and the place was nice. I was there for the New Orleans Gospel Soul Children's, coronation. The space is big enough for about 500 standing- 20 rounds, 300 classroom size. Not sure of the pricing, but the event I attended charged $25/pp and had food (buffet style). Cash bar. One thing I noticed is that the bar area is too big. They could use that space for more people and the men's bathroom is a bit roomy. Not as unnecessary as the bar though. I was able to purchase three cocktails for $17.00 so winner there ( no I only drink one of them thank you very much). There is a step up entrance. Don't remember seeing a wheelchair ramp. Not saying it wasn't there I just don't remember it. Which is strange, because the building is fairly new.
Whats better than a ZULU party? NOTHING!! Had the best time! The drinks, the food, the people it's an EXPERIENCE!
Went on Friday night. Very welcoming place. Not much was happening. But would visit again when I’m back in town. Drinks were reasonable.
Safe and festive. Embodies New Orleans culture.
I was there on a Friday and it was not crowded at all. You have to make your own fun and play your own music on the jukebox. The bartender Sunshine is very nice and the drinks are reasonable. But you basically buy pints and a chaser and make your own drinks. I like and don't like that. I can make it as strong or not as I like it. I got one bottle of champagne which was like two drinks for $7.00 and I got a bottle pint of Tito's. To get in you have to show your vaccination card. It is not a go to party place as hardly anyone was in it, but us girls and a few other's.
Blue Monday. Great Comedy Show and Vibe.
I had a great time at the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club. Everyone are so professional, courteous and kind to say the least. All of the guests enjoyed the venue, looking forward to returning again.
