Absolutely a GEM! Best Mediterranean food in the area and the entire staff is the best. Nurcan, H.K, and Garret are definitely my favorite people in the place! My only problem is I don't get there enough but I'm working on that! If You are in Ada do yourself a favor and stop in! Not sure what to get? I recommend the Zeytins Special. It has gyro meat, grilled steak and chicken, Turkish meatloaf I believe they call it, rice and a salad. I can turn into dinner for 2 or leftovers for a fantastic lunch or dinner anytime! Definitely worth it!
Food is good.. less Spicy 🔥🔥.. we like spicy food so asked for some spicy sauce to add to our food..Ambience is ok..
Not greeted upon entering. Place had 6 tables and 4 people at the bar, should’ve been our first clue on a Saturday evening at 630pm. Bread came cold in a knotted plastic bag with butter(?). Young man who poured our waters didn’t even say hello. Food was one star at best. Grape leaves definitely not fresh from today, very soggy. I think we had four different waiters help us. It was the strangest experience. Lots of 80’s music (which I love), and sports artwork - just completely wrong vibe for restaurant.
Have tried this restaurant multiple times—the food is good but the service could be desired. The restaurant was hollow and uninviting.
One time I ordered takeout and asked for ketchup: this one waitress rudely said, “There is a LOT of ketchup in there” and stayed the hand of the server who was going to provide me the ketchup packets. When I returned home, there was not a single ketchup packet in the takeout.
Another time, I brought my family and was mortified when my father-in-law emerged from the men’s room gagging from the bathroom odor. The waitress just vapidly stared at my father-in-law as he nearly vomited. We requested they service the bathroom and she said, “I’ll tell the owner.” We sat by the bathrooms that visit and saw not a single employee service the bathroom.
During that visit, we had asked for sugar on the side of our coffees—nothing. Furthermore, all five of our $6 coffees were all lukewarm and weak.
The server appeared to not heed us at all. The food was delicious but needless to say, I left the restaurant embarrassed I brought my family from out of town. The ambiance was cold and empty. Would definitely think twice about visiting this restaurant again.
I have been here a few times before, but tonight was my first time since the pandemic, I believe. It was as I remembered it: nice Turkish cushions at the booths in the middle of the dining area and Turkish music playing. I ordered an authentic entree, and it was delicious! So was the baklava. This sweet treat is a standard in the Middle East, and I highly recommend it to our Western taste buds! The food even came on a metal tray that itself was on top of a wooden dish, for protection against heat. Smart! This is a fine option for an excellent dining experience in Grand Rapids.
It was our first time in tonight to order takeout and we will absolutely be coming back. The atmosphere walking in was fantastic, the booths are absolutely adorable. I loved the decor. The staff were all extremely sweet even telling me how to pronounce a word id asked about and telling me what it means. The food was FANTASTIC. It was my husbands first time trying it and he is definitely hooked. The appetizer sampler was so good, id highly recommend trying it if you cant pick just one. We also had the Zeytin Special entree, the meat was grilled perfectly and was moist and delicious. We're going to be repeat customers for sure!
Excellent location right accross from the water and ample parking space.
Environment is very welcoming and booths are covered with comfortable authentic seating.
Bar area is well designed and adding a depth to the view.
Menu is very well balanced to encompass turkish cuisine but not ovewhelming with too many options.
I have started with Lentil soup and it was excellent.
All off the starters sounded grrat so I chose sampler platter. Both eggplant samplers were stellar, also hummus of course is a safe choice.
My main dish was Adana Kebap and it was absoulutely great, made from fresh meat and perfectly spiced.
Lastly you need to finish Turkish food with a warm glass of Turkish Tea.
This was a great experience and Highly Recommend anyone in the area to try it.
Highly recommend if you are in the area! The service was great and so was the food. I got the chicken shish kabob and my husband got the lamb chops. We didn’t get drinks this time, but we saw other tables have great looking drinks and many drinking wines.
