A little pricey, especially for the appetizers. However, the quality of the rolls I tried was excellent. The eel roll, while simple, was amongst the best I’ve had. The Houma roll was also great. My favorite, though, was the Naked roll (pro tip—order without the spicy mayo, as it overpowers the snow sauce that’s already there). The person behind the bar was very helpful and friendly even when very busy.

The best sushi in houma, Love the sunshine roll, 911 roll, dynamite roll and the best seaweed salad and stir fry noodles. Good atmoshere for a date lunch or night.

I recommend the coconut sake and kimche fries. Fries were awesome, just had to add a lil spice cause I like spice, but flavor was very good. The coconut sake was perfectly paured with the food.

Update: July 2023 Have been back to try the toro, and it was good! Very fresh, and market price was not bad at all. It was around $20 for 5-6 slices. I have paid $40 for 5 slices in Dallas ($9 per slice) so when they said it was only $20, I had to try it! I came back again within the same month to eat it, and it was still as fresh as the first time. I also tried the lunch steak hibachi with fried rice which was good! Huge portions for the price, and of course, I had to get the sashimi sampler because I’m a sashimi girl. The fish were all fresh, and the cuts were perfect. Next time I come, I hope to try the uni! ——————————————————— It’s an alright sushi place for Houma. Nothing outstanding or spectacular that makes it outshine the other local Japanese restaurants. I wouldn’t necessarily go there as my first choice, but if friends ask me to go, I wouldn’t say no. It just wouldn’t be my first pick. I decided to try the sashimi platter because I was craving for it, and it was okay. Presentation was mediocre, but the slices of fish were good portions. I also ordered the rock n roll because it’s a typical standard sushi roll that I know they can’t mess up. Service was also nice! I just wish the quality of the food was better, but like I said, it’s decent for Houma. I’d still go though because there’s not many Asian food choices in this town. I just alternate amongst them.

This place was all around terrible. We were seated in a broken booth with a hole in the table. That was our first clue we had made the wrong dining decision. We ordered drinks... My martini was poorly made and tasted like olive juice with a little vodka in it. We ordered appetizers, Pork Belly Bao Buns. They were awful. The pickled vegetables tasted like sour, rotten food. We couldn't finish them. The sushi options were almost all a fusion of southern fried and Japanese, so if you're looking for standard sushi, this is not the place. Also, the prices were incredibly high, especially for the broken down atmosphere and terrible food. I've been to fancy sushi restaurants with lower prices than this. I used the bathroom and that was when I decided not to eat there. The floors were sticky, it was filthy and the stall doors wouldn't lock. After that we decided to cancel the rest of our order and leave. Terrible, dirty, broken down restaurant. Avoid like the plague!

NEW REVIEW! 12-16-22 I have NEVER had a bad experience at this place and always enjoy the food of any kind I have tried. Its DELICIOUS! The Houma roll is the absolute BEST to me! EVERY ONE FROM THIS AREA…. TRY IT! You will love it! The 3 Meat combo Zen Fried rice is absolutely delicious too! My fiance and I went here on our first date in 2018, it was great then, and it's still great today in 2023. We went eat to celebrate our engagement and it was delicious. You can tell the food is great quality and made with love. They only seem to get better here and never disappoint. We will definitely be back again!! 5 stars 🤩!

The food is kind of bland. I don't think it's worth the price. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The service is spectacular. I enjoy the experience just not the food
