Beautiful beach from dining patio has a calming and vacationy vibe. Food is on the decent side but wouldn’t say it’s fabulous. Clam chowder was good. I think you’re coming here for ambiance. Located right next to the ‘famous’ colorful rentals by the pier. Service was slow but it’s pretty busy. Nice way to have lunch on a beautiful, sunny weekend.
Our server was courteous and cordial. Atmosphere outside in the patio seating was accommodating and the views right on the beach. We had our two pets and that is really the only reason we were at the restaurant. Our golden doodle and tiny terrier/ Yorker was well behaved. .. okay, now the menu we ordered clam chowder, calamari and fries. The calamari were large sized squid, and not the small calamari which I think are way better. In any case, I had the melted cheese with shrimp and white fish in a open faced pita pocket with fries and greens inside. All was okay. But really just something on the average. As always, post wherever you end up , even if it’s not the food , but the accommodations for our family pets.
(Plant-based reviewer) Coffee ONLY review. Really enjoyed the oatmilk latte they made me. Yum! Best place to go for coffee once Mr. Toots closes for the day 🙂
Had my 40th birthday dinner there with my wife. You can't beat that sunset view on the beach dinner. Great food great service and fantastic atmosphere.
We sat outside and had an amazing view of the water and beach. I ordered the chicken parmesan. My wife ordered the macadamia nut crusted halibut. We also ordered an appetizer of fried artichokes and a cup of clam chowder. My wife said it was one of the best clam chowder she had ever had. The fried artichokes were delicious! It came with a Chipotle aioli that was amazing! My chicken parm was lightly breaded, so it wasn't super heavy. It came with pasta. The red sauce was very good. My wife really liked her halibut. I tried it and it tasted very good. Our waiter was excellent and overall service was very good all around. Zelda's is a great place for lunch, dinner,or to just grab a drink.
Perfect place to hangout with friends or family or even just by yourself. Super delicious drinks that you can combine with delicious appetizer. Best beach view while you sip your favorite drink. My and time favorite place@ Capitols beach.
A very good Sunday accompanied with some very delicious food 🍟 and cocktails 🍸 next to a beautiful view, definitely a must visit if you're visiting Capitola.
Beware of the 4% surcharge prior to deciding whether you want to eat here…. Zelda's deserves a solid 3.5 stars but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and posted 4. First off, they are at a prime location, downtown Capitola right of the beach. It was beautiful, the service was good but when I asked the server whether or not the fish and chips were fresh battered fish, she wasn’t sure so she had to check with the Chef. Yes, the fish were fresh not boxed. When the fish and chips arrived, I realized our server didn’t understand the question. The dish came out breaded not battered, theirs a difference. Also, ordered a bowl of clam chowder but it was hard to compare to the other we had the day before in Santa Cruz. MUST GET – Spicy Bloody Mary and house salad. I loved that the outdoor patio is dog friendly. They have a coffee shop inside and the décor is definitely modern. The seagulls are crazy, if they don’t take the tray away prior to you leaving then they will swarm towards you leaving loose feathers everywhere (not very sanitary) Lastly, the extra 4% surcharge is ridiculous. I know its inflation but people don’t like the extra charge. I don’t believe as consumers we should have to pay this. Add it to your menu items….

Very good beer, nice staff, nice patio Despite being close to the highway, itâs very quiet on the patio (which has maybe ten tables). A choice of about ten beers on tap. We tried Pilsner, IPA and Porter. All good. Dogs welcome.
Beautiful stay. Just steps from downtown, yet private and romantic. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy; if thereâs something you need, just ask! Wonderful welcome from the owner & very accommodating staff. Breakfast was delicious. We will be ba

Beautiful day at the beach!!! Very few people mostly walking dogs. Little breezy and sunny. Calm ocean. Few birds. Clean open restrooms. Beach itself is a bit different from last year. Winter storms took a third of the beach out and pushed the rest c
This place is amazing! We spent over 3 hours here and my son didn't get bored at all. They did a very good job at using every single space & turned each space into a different learning experience. I also appreciate them being apart of the all kids ca

Great place. Those colorful little houses give their own character to the beach. If you are lucky and you visit on a clear day you will relax under the soft touch of the sun. On the other hand if the ocean gets more tricky you will have the opportuni
Amazingly beautiful! The views are breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, clean and relaxing. 5 minute walk to the beach yet set in peaceful seclusion. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I love it. I would say it's definitely my favorite spot.
Super fun place to eat because there are so many options to try. The Marionberry pie was just sweet enough. Roasted tomato ficelle (clothespin thin, foot-long sandwich) was addicting to eat and gone in a flash. Line is long but well-managed by frien
