Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill (ZMG) - Mediterranean restaurant in Greensboro - 114 N Elm St Suite 102, USA

Was a pretty good meditation grill in downtown greensboro. You order at a kiosk, and they call you up. Some seating inside. Food was pretty good.

Zaytoon Mediterranean Grill is located on N. Elm Street in historic downtown Greensboro. And if you hear the word downtown....parking spot is the first thing which comes to mind. This is no different and I was super lucky to find a spot right outside the building. However, there are several options available with a few minutes walk. Zaytoon is located inside a building with several other restaurants as neighbors. I was immediately greeted "I think" by the owner and her energy was just contagious. When you walk in, you place the order and will be given a ticket. You can seat yourself anywhere and wait for your number to be called. It has 2 levels and of course I picked the second floor especially since it was empty. Ordered the chicken shawarma and as much as it was good....I wasn't blown away. The chicken was a little dry. The pita chips were a tiny portion however the hummus was delicious. It definitely tasted freshly made rather than just out of a jar. Also, I ordered bottled water and later realized they already had water with cups which I could have just filled up myself. They do focus on the quality of food and claim using celtic sea salt in the kitchen. This concept of healthy Mediterranean cuisine was founded 20 years ago and it is a must visit if you happen to be in downtown.

Food is great. Main courses are made when ordered. Salads are so fresh, especially with the amazing house dressing. I recommend the Chicken Souvlaki or Shaw; Mediterranean Salad adding chicken; or if you're undecided, the sample plate. Lately my favorite, however, has been the Mediterranean Steak Melt with their rosemary fries. This is a great, fresh place for downtown Greensboro!

*edit, changing my review* I found out they were closed from a family emergency and a guy who worked here personally apologized to me in person, which he didnt even need to. They gave me a nice coupon and I came back and the food was delicious! Peaceful and chill pace to eat and hang out too. Nice upstairs area to eat. Their veggies have COLOR and look fresh! Thank you! I had one of the best gyros i had in a while!

We ordered the falafel, assorted dips, chicken schwarma, and Mediterranean salad for my mom’s 70th bday. So many compliments on the food. Everything was super fresh and tasty.

The staff was great and the food delicious! We were visiting Greensboro and came in to this place after their business hours. The staff were leaving so they suggested to go to the next restaurant. However, my husband said that he only wanted to have Mediterranean food that time. The staff went back to the kitchen and granted his request and we had the delicious falafel platter! We didn’t eat inside but had the chance to see the place. It was clean and I liked the decorations on the wall. Five stars ⭐️ for this place!

I had no clue this place even existed but I was in the Piedmont Building for an appointment, and decided to give it an try, It was kinda slow getting my food but when it’s cooked fresh I don’t mind to much, I got the steak and cheese melt with fries and it was AWESOME will be back

Awesome food! Super fresh and super good! The chef spoke to us and asked how we liked everything. I could tell he takes pride in his cooking and it shone through fantastic in his food! I loved this place
