I suppose all the good reviews we saw when we picked out this place for lunch was for good service, because the food was certainly mediocre at best. Also, its heavily americanized Mexican. The salsa was the only item that had any heat. We got the baked cheese thats what the waiter called it, it was tasteless. We assumed it was queso, but I can make far better queso at home.We ordered a chicken taco and a chicken enchilada, and veggie fajitas. The fajitas had very big chunks and strips of carrots, broccoli zucchini and bell peppers which had a lot of butter on them, it also came with a tiny bowl of melted better, but otherwise there wasn't any other seasoning. The tortillas were soft. The chicken wasn’t seasoned either. I wouldn't visit again unless all I am looking for its good service and decent salsa
Salsa taste like Pace. Chips are thick premade and cold. Fajitas had 4 slices of beef the smallest portion I’ve ever seen. No flavor or seasoning. I asked for the hottest salsa they had and it was a chunky roasted salsa but no heat, acid or salt. To sub rice and beans with grilled veggies was $6.00 extra and it wasn’t worth it. The steak was chewy and not seasoned.
Great experience! Everything was wonderful. Service was much above what we have been receiving at other restaurants. The waiter was at our table within 2 minutes of us being seated. Our orders were taken when we were ready and our food was ready quickly. Everything was hot, not lukewarm and the flavors were delicious. Our drinks were topped off often. I was surprised at the amount of food we got for the prices. There is nothing negative to say from us.
Food was disgusting, it had obviously been cooked on a different day. Enchilada was to tough to cut. It’s been down hill the past few visits . We will never be back. $46 for 2. No sweet tea, server was wiping his snotty nose as he was adding a lemon to mine. He was nice and attentive if that means anything. Attached is the “wet”queso flemiado my wife got.
Very Disappointed. We have been traveling for 6hrs we stopped to eat and the place had great reviews and looked nice, the atmosphere was nice our waiter was so friendly and sweet. The food was very disappointing. We didn’t eat. $82 for the beer to be hot, the margarita to be watered down. The steak queso had no steak, and was old. The kids grilled cheese was two hamburger buns with a handful of shredded cheese. The other two plates looked great but sadly they didn’t taste great. I order enchiladas no onions they told me it didn’t come with onions. It was stuffed full of onions. The chili relenio was just the pepper full of cheese no meat. We didn’t eat anything other than about two bites and we just couldn’t eat it. We thanked our server, paid and left.
I had ordered beef fajitas and was sad to say i was very disappointed at the amount and taste. However, the sopapilla was decent, still not the best though. Margaritas was just alright. I had better fajitas at other places so i was very disappointed at this meal especially for the price. For the little amount of fajitas, the prices was definately overcharged. I would not come back to this restaurant. They had good service though and the waiter was nice and attentive.
Had been about 4 years since I had been here. I came in 2 weeks ago asking for a place to have our monthly chapter meeting for Victory Riders as I had hoped to move the meeting place BACK to TXK. I was surprised to see this HUGE room they offered for us. So we came in and had a group of 19. I was already prepared that the prices are not the usual Mexican restaurant prices and several folks in my group were.... Well not happy. As you know if you see my post I travel for work. All over this great continent... So I understand the difference between your usual ordinary joints and ones that rise above with quality and great location. This room we got to use was perfect and especially attractive due to the fact I want to see our chapter grip to 60 or more ... The next part was clientele... Just what I WANT to be associated with. Quality folks enjoying each other and good food. We voted to stay there for this season and I'm happy. Thanks Zapatas.
I love this place. I love the service and the people. The food is okay. I wish it was better for the price we pay. But I will still go back
We were driving through Texarkana from NY to Houston and were craving Mexican food. So we went to the first one we could find in Texas. This may be the best in Texarkana. But it is just average for TexMex. Nice patio atmosphere. The cheese enchilada
This place is so fun! One of the most unique coffee shops I've ever been to. Also woman-owned and a big supporter of local artists! The barista was super friendly. The tea and coffee are so good! I'm from Houston but I really hope I can come back! (A

Good food, great service, good handcut fries, burgers were good and my wife loved the patty melt on rye bread. The jalapeno cheddar bun was a great option. Only complaint was they were having A/C issues.

My daughter and I fell in love with this park! Itâs clean, quiet and has plenty of shade trees. Lots of playground space, picnic tables, gorgeous trails and a great fishing spot. Plus some super friendly ducks!
