Beware of hidden fees at this hotel! It's outrageously expensive, and the added costs make it not worth the stay. Avoid unless you're ready to break the bank for a mediocre experience. This hotel disappoints with its hidden fees, especially considering the lack of extra amenities. Paying more for no additional perks feels unjustified.
Had a wonderful vacation at this resort with our family. Everything was clean and all amenities of a comfortable home. Loved visiting the pool after lots of hiking and the fire pit in mornings by pool before hiking. The location is so convenient to shopping, restaurants, and activities such as the gondola and casinos. Staff was very friendly also. Would definitely return! Enjoyed sitting on deck enjoying views of the mountains too.
Simply unmatched location anywhere in Lake Tahoe - literally steps from the front door to the gondola! A ski valet to handle your gear, and fantastic staff to take care of all your needs. We will be back!!!
Not so great:||- Parking is located outside.|- The website mentions a ski valet, but it only exists on the website.|- The website advertises a free shuttle to the California base, but this service is only mentioned online.|- The snow in the pool area was not cleared, rendering the pool and hot tub unusable.||This property is essentially an Airbnb, where you rent someone’s condo. Thus, your experience may vary depending on the owner. Our owner was cheap: no robes, only one cooking, one glass.
Stayed here with my family and we loved it. The pool, jacuzzi and fireplace were so relaxing. The rooms were amazing and so beautiful!!! The only thing was that the balcony door wouldn’t lock so it made me a bit nervous, I did let Zalanta staff know and they said they would send maintenance over the next day to fix it but they didn’t. We enjoyed the day pass to the lake very much, being at a private beach was very nice.

We love this place! It's right in the middle of everything and we never needed a car. The resort is definitely the nicest in Tahoe, maybe of anywhere we've ever stayed! I would recommend requesting condo #228 if you stay. They each have different owner's and this one has everything added to it, such as a pellet grill for great cooking, xbox for the kids, custom board games (too many to list), puzzles, desk with computer and printer/copier, washer and dryer, 2 different kinds of coffee makers (drip and k-cup), 2 patio balconies, 3 super comfortable king size beds (1 in each bedroom), extra blankets, tv streaming service in every room, faster private wifi than the resort wifi, and probably more that we've missed!
Terrible experience at this resort. I booked a $11,000 suite for my family during Christmas week. 2 days before check-in, I get an email saying, "Sorry, there was a mistake. We overbooked and your reservation is cancelled." Imagine the panic, as family were flying in from all over the country for this week. Then, the next day, "oh! there were some cancellations and we can actually fit you in after all."
Unbelievably stressful experience.
Then the $11k suite had a strong mold/mildew smell for the entire stay. Gross! And there was a "boiler" problem, so there was no hot water for 2 full days, including the advertised outdoor hot tub, which was COLD. I am furious thinking about how they charged full price for such a sub-par accommodation.
Finally, the last straw. I received my credit card statement a month later to find out that they charged me TWICE for this awful experience. $22,000, folks. For a room that they told me was CANCELLED.
There is really no excuse for this. I think the entire management should be fired and that customers should avoid this resort at all costs.

The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.

Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
