Amazing experience here yet again! I’ve been here about 10 times now, and it has never disappointed. The laziji (yummy spicy chicken) is usually my favorite, but this time I tried the beef and vegetable mala tang which was also outstanding. I also highly recommend the cumin lamb, as well as their oolong tea. The service is also excellent. Can’t wait to be back again!
loved the taste of the dishes but way too many onions and peppers. The onions overwhelmed the dishes. If I go back in saying easy on the onions.
And the fried eggplant had so many peppers. Picture shows the peppers left.
Delicious authentic Chinese food that includes dry pot and hot pot. If you love spicy food then this place is for you.
Their mapo tofu with ground pork is super delicious with right amount of heat and numbing sichuan peppercorn. Yum! It’s me and my son’s favorite.

They got the name down pat on this place! Delicious full of flavor and spicy! For starters I had the fried pot stickers and they were really good! Had the spicy lamb and it was delicious! Hot tea was fantastic!
My friends and I have taken to exploring the absolutely extraordinary food scene that is Buford Hwy, just outside of Atlanta. This stretch of highway is flanked by some of the coolest, most unique, and delicious food from across the world.
I say all this as context for the following review: Yummy Spicy is absolutely delicious in its own right, but put up against some of the giants just up or down the street, I can't say it's the best Buford Hwy has to offer.
We started our meal with the baby wontons in chilli oil and the crispy yummy appetizer sampler. Both were delicious: the wonton wrappers were very light, thin, and soft and the filling was tender and delicious. The chilli oil was mild, and could have used a touch more salt, but was a great balance. The crispy sampler was wonderful, though I've had better chicken wings (especially here in Atlanta, the wing capital of the U.S.).
Moving to our main dishes, we had spicy cumin beef (I think that was it's name), chicken with okra, green beans with pork, and crispy fried pork.
The beef was spicy and flavorful, and extraordinarily tender. The beef was clearly 'velveted' to get to this level of tender, and in my view it was a little TOO tender. It gave the meat a strange, not meat-like texture. However it was definitely a favorite at the table.
The chicken and okra was VERY good. The chicken was also tender (but not too much, unlike the beef), and the okra was perfectly cooked. Word of warming: if you're used to fried okra or okra that is not at all slimy, you might wanna stay away from this dish. The okra was well cooked, but it did have some slime.
Green beans with pork was my favorite dish. The beans were perfectly cooked and tender and the pork added little pops of salty, fatty goodness. Eaten with rice, this could have been my entire meal.
The crispy fried pork is exactly what it sounds like. It was VERY crispy and there was almost more breading than pork, and the pork was very dry. I chose this dish for the table and I was definitely disappointed. Not bad, just not as delicious as it could be.
Overall I liked this spot and would definitely go back. Though on visit 2, I would order slightly differently. Happy eating!!
This is the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken is not as advertised. They have to be using something else besides chicken because this was unseasoned and had no sauce at all. Dog food. We paid way too much money for the poor quality food we received. Will never be back a HUGE RIP OFF!
Great food and fast service! We had the 1. sour cabbage and fish soup 2. Cumin beef with a complimentary side of white rice. The beef comes out a little crispy, which is so tasty.
This place is our go to spot for Szechuan food. We always order the sour cabbage and fish soup. It is equally delicious every time we go.
The restaurant is hard to find as it is located in the parking lot behind sweet hut doraville, but definitely worth going for authentic Chinese flavors. To some it will seem like a hole in the wall restaurant, but I highly recommend.
I loved the Taiwanese fried chicken, spicy and not spicy was both great. I wasnât a big fan of the tiger blood milk, it was too sweet for me but the barista was very sweet and offered to adjust it. After she adjusted, it was still too sweet for me
This is a great spot on the Buford Highway! The banh mi were fresh and delicious, especially the bread that they came on! We got the grilled BBQ pork sandwich, the meatloaf sandwich, and the shrimp spring rolls. It was all great and really affordable
