Very busy place, but we were seated fairly quickly. Food was pretty good for the location and price. I’m happy to have found a good Asian restaurant that is not “fast food” American style Chinese. I usually have to drive all the way to Rockville for authentic Chinese food.
The restaurant maximizes their space to fit many people in a medium sized space, without feeling too crowded.
I ordered the hot & sour noodles but it was not spicy for me, so I had to add more chili sauce. It also came with so many peanuts and glass noodles, so I couldn’t finish it all. It was good though. The pork & chive dumplings were very good and tasted freshly made. The skin is thin, which is the way I like it. The duck was a tad sweet and meat was tender. The chicken appetizer was spicy sour, and had a good flavor.
There is a parking lot across the street that is free on the weekends. You can also park in the Whole Foods parking lot and walk a few blocks.
The food was delicious but the staff was amazing. Our waitress was so patient and explained everything on the menu. We ordered her suggestions and was so glad we did. The duck with rice was seasoned well, the golden cabbage was tangy but bright, the dumplings were fried to perfection but the star of the night was the soup dumpling trio. The broth in the dumpling was savory and just the right temperature with the peppercorn being my favorite.
I had the pleasure of dining at a local Chinese restaurant, renowned for its authentic flavors and exceptional service. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly their soup dumplings – the best in town! Each dumpling was a perfect blend of rich, savory broth and tender, flavorful meat, encased in a delicate, steamed wrapper.
Apart from the dumplings, the menu offered a plethora of fresh and delicious options. The steamed buns were fluffy and light, perfectly complementing the juicy pork filling. The pork dumplings were a delight as well, with their well-seasoned filling and perfectly pleated dough. But the dish that truly stood out was the Yibin fried noodles, a masterful combination of textures and flavors that left me craving for more.
Another dish, simply listed as “N1” on the menu, turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It was a unique, chef-special dish that showcased the kitchen’s creativity and expertise in Chinese cuisine.
The service was phenomenal. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Their recommendations were spot on, and their timely service added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. With its fresh, flavorful dishes and exceptional service, you simply can't go wrong with any order here. Highly recommended!
The food was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. We tried the yibin spicy dry noodle, hot & sour doom & pork soup dumpling. Each was flavorful and distinct. Appreciated the warm service and atmosphere as well. The price is right, so this will definitely be a regular spot for me!
This place is a fun little addition to the downtown Silver Spring area. We tried their yibin spicy dry noodles and it had the right amount of kick to it. We also tried their spicy oil wonton, soup dumplings, and panfried dumplings — all of which were really tasty. Our waiter was attentive and the dine-in atmosphere was nice and casual.
Will definitely go back to try their other items.
I was in Silver Spring, Maryland on Saturday and decided to try Yu Noodles for dinner. The restaurant has recently opened and has a cute vibe. I had the Pan-Fried Chive & Pork Dumplings and Pan-Fried Pork Buns. The buns were my favorite of the two. Make sure you get them pan-fried. I was only able to eat two and brought the rest home. The next day, I put the leftover buns and dumplings in my air fryer, and they tasted as good as they did in the restaurant.
I ordered carry-out from the waitress at the register. I was afraid to order on line because we don’t eat meat and I couldn’t discern the best dishes to request for vegetarians. The counter waitress was ready and willing to help. She shared a big smile first and then recommended N1 Chongqing Noodles with no meat. She also recommended the Mango Pomelo Sago for dessert. While I waited, a second waitress explained that almost every item could be turned veggie and I just needed to add the info to the comments when I order online next time.
So now let’s talk food. I walked my order home from Yu Noodles Wayne Ave location (clean, bright, modern). The fixings - fried egg, noodles, peanuts, bock choi - came stacked atop the broth. Mixed together it was a perfect blend of flavor and warmth.
Thank you Yu Noodles! Thank you chefs and waitstaff!
Stumbled upon this place near my hotel and I was blown away. Modern yet authentic and high quality. Casual yet hip. The food was the best part actually. They make Sichuan style noodles and Chinese small bites like dumplings and scallion pancakes. Everything comes with a side of house made chili. Skip any ramen spot you were craving and try their noodles here. You won't regret it.
Found her on Google, we created a tradition of eating at a West African restaurant on New Yearâs Day, so we drove from Arlington, Virginia to her place. We called ahead to let her know what we wanted everything is made fresh, she brought the food
