This little community theater is an unexpected gem! We thought we would be seeing a typical kid show. Painful to sit through but you do it to support the kids. Wow were we wrong! At this theater you get amazing performances by incredibly talented people! We were blown away by the quality. We have now seen four shows here and they have all been outstanding. Can't wait to see more.
So my wife had bought tickets online because my daughters class mate was performing in Beauty and the Beast. I have been to several big production plays, so to be honest, I didn't have my hopes up that the play was going to be entertaining. I couldn't have been more wrong in my life. It was very entertaining. The cast was brilliant in delivering every line, and the comedy relief was top notch. It had everything a big production had. Great set, great thespians, and great atmosphere. The ONLY thing I did dislike were all the parents of the children yelling how much they love them during the play. We do understand the parents love them, and I am sure the actors know that too (hence them physically being there). But in theater there are different ways of showing acts of love and kindness during their child's special performance. I just felt it was a little irreverent. All in all, it was one of the best plays I have ever seen.
Bravo! The production of" The Descendants" was top notch. The young people do the technical work as well. The Encore Theater is small mighty and welcoming. Very impressive and dedicated professionals bring out the best. A lot of parent and community support. On my A- list for San Diego County Theater. My whole family loved it!
The new space in Grossmont Center is great. The Christmas show was terrific! This is a group that lets young people shine.

We took our daughter to the showing of The Decedent's. Our friends daughter was in the production and we thought it would a fun thing to do for our daughter's birthday. Not only was she mesmerized by the whole experience, all of us had to keep reminding ourselves that the entire thing was being done by kids. What an amazing program! Our daughter now wants to go to Summer Camp there. This is a fabulous gem in our community that everyone should know about!
It is so much fun and now I 'll hooked on theater and I never miss a show love this place and it has amazing shows like Aladdin and the lion king as you can see
