Unassuming restaurant but really flavourful food. The noodles were comforting in the cold weather. Loved the food so much we went back a second time!

The food was delicious and fresh without being overly heavy, sugary, or pretentious. The ambience here made me nostalgic for my home. The owner was also very welcoming. The Burmese tea was also so tasty. Would love to visit again if given the chance.

If you are looking for a southeastern flavors but not just Thai or Vietnamese, you should give Burmese a try! The flavors are unique. If you go on the weekends, they make special soft tofu dish. Their tofu is house made with chickpeas. It’s very different and the flavor is very unique. The service is excellent. They offered us dessert at the end. Lots of vegetarian options

Had a great experience trying Burmese cuisine in Asia, and I kinda missed that. I was pretty excited to find Yoma Myanmar through yelp! It took us some time to figure it out what to order, some dishes are only available during the weekend, but the owner was nice, she offered other suggestions that turned out to be really good. We opted for fried samusas, mohinga noodle soup, shan noodles, and yoma chicken rice to share. The fried samusas are similar to Indian fried samosas, but with a delicious dipping sauce. I liked the sauce, it was slightly spicy and with a good amount of acidity. The samusas had a great curry potato filling and flaky outside, probably one of the best I had. The mohinga noodle soup is a fish soup w/ noodles, it came w/ two crunchy toppings (dried fish & pickled veggies w jalapeño) which added a nice change in texture to the taste. The fish soup was dense and rich, and you can still taste some fish pieces in the soup. I honestly loved that it had several different textures in the soup, that reminded me of some dishes I had in Chiang Mai. Really good flavor. The only con would be the saltiness, it felt pretty heavy to finish the entire soup. Shan noodles is the dish that the owner recommended to us. It's relatively light, simple but surprisingly tasty! Make sure to mix the noodles w/ the sauce and toppings thoroughly before eating. So good! The Yoma chicken rice tastes similar to Indian chicken curry rice, the flavored rice was good, and the chicken was well-cooked. Overall, 4.5 stars. Love this family-owned restaurant. Authentic Burmese cuisine in LA. Good portions, reasonable prices, and amazing flavors. We enjoyed our first experience in Yoma Myanmar, will def be returning soon.

This was my first experience of Burmese food and it was amazing! The flavors are strong, yet delicate, and very well balanced between savory, salt, sour, sweet, and umami. The owner, Joanne, is so hospitable. It felt like we were at her house. She gave us an extra rice and dessert for free. Must order: fermented tea leaf salad, mohinga (fish soup), shan noodle, goat curry, and samosa (flaky wrapper). I feel extremely lucky to have a wholesome and flavorful first experience of Burmese food. She mentioned how she cooks Burmese food for Burmese people. Hidden Gem

I don’t usually like Shan noodles but this little place surprised me. I even went back the very next day for another round. It’s so delicious. 😋 Fried tofu is very tasty as well. I wish the business grows.

Unassuming interiors. Fabulous flavors! We ordered the Chicken Potato Curry, Ginger Salad, and Samusas. They gave us vegetable soup and coconut jelly dessert on the house. My partner loved the falling-off-the-bone chicken curry. The ginger salad had lots of crunch and good textures, and I loved the lightly crisped samusas. The owners were very kind and welcoming, too. We will definitely be back. I want to try the noodle soups and tea leaf salad next time.

Very clean and cute inside. I ordered the Oolong Milk Tea with Tiramisu Puff. It's super delicious and on the sweeter side. My father ordered a Smokey Coffee Milk Tea and was really surprised how good it was (he's more of a black 2 cream and 2 sugar
