With so many other great breakfast spots in Dallas, don't waste your weekend here. First off, the service here is good. We went in without reservations, and the guy at the front really hustled to get us a booth set up quickly. Our server was not attentive - but the place was so so busy that I truly understand. It got me excited to eat! Then ... The food came. We got a latte and a hot cocoa. Latte was milky, nothing to write home about. Ordered the breakfast Mac and a skillet. The Mac and cheese was runny and watery. The gravy was cold. Potatoes were way over salted, and it made the whole skillet taste salty. After seeing how busy the place was, it was disappointing that the food did not match. As for atmosphere, it's just loud. There's so much noise and not enough sound absorption in the building. If you get over stimulated - do not come here on a weekend. There was nothing that really charmed me to the place as a breakfast joint, which made it all the more disappointing. Overall - there's been a lot of hype built around this spot, and it did not live up to it. *I am always willing to give places a second chance, unless I get food poisoning*
I have to say this was one of the best breakfasts and experiences that I’ve had. It was our first time here and we were immediately greeted by the the hostess. Our server Claudia, was so cheerful and lets us know about all the popular items. She was very attentive and so was the manager. I really appreciate a staff that works together to make sure the customers are happy. I’ve worked as a server and to have one today like Claudia really made our morning. The food was beyond what I expected. I got the cinnamon roll French toast. I highly recommend, because it’s a perfect serving. The slices still maintain the fluffiness of a roll, but included the perfect amount of crisp. We also split the banana nut bread French toast. This one is a smaller portion, but still holds its weight against all other French toast. Lightly pan fried and so cakey. Comes with sliced bananas and peanut butter. Other items we got were the 5 egg omelette and the egg +protein.
Had brunch over the weekend here at Yolk and was very pleased with my experience. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with a single Red Velvet French Toast which was incredible. Would definitely return to try more options from their vast menu
Relatively decent place for brunch especially if you are a big pancake lover. Ordered the avocado toast, the chicken or the egg sandwich, lemon blueberry pancakes, banana foster latte, and cappuccino. The coffee was okay. I wouldn’t order the banana foster latte again though. It was really sweet and lacked the coffee taste. If you like sweet coffee, you should try it! If you don’t, beware. I also wasn’t a big fan of the toast. Presentation was really pretty but didn’t taste that good. I couldn’t even finish it. Maybe I should’ve known better than to order something like that at a place call Yolk…I would like to come back and try other dishes like their omelettes or scrambled eggs because I’m sure that’s what they specialize better in than toast. The chicken in the sandwich was good though! Not really seasoned, but it was juicy so a little bit of ketchup helped. But the pancakes were the bestttttt!!!! So good and flavorful! It’s a huge portion and you can definitely share it with more than two people. I also like how they leave a water carafe-like glass at your table so you can refill your own glass at your pace. Service was great too! I want to give this place another try so I expect to be returning soon to try other items on the menu!
Long wait for New Year’s Day brunch at 12:30pm. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good, but the potatoes were slightly undercooked. Overall a decent meal.
You know the food is going to be good when you can't find an empty table. I sat at the bar and watched the show unfold before me. The staff is hustling to get food out. I ordered their chicken and waffles...amazing! Tried one of their seasonal cold drinks, an oat milk horchata cold brew coffee...VERY DELICIOUS! I'll definitely be back, and I'll brink Boss Lady.
I like that they are next to a 3 hour parking garage so it's easy to park. They were very busy would definitely recommend making a reservation. Even though they were busy the servers were on point and the food didn't take long to come out. I ordered the Patty Melt and the Cinnamon French toast. The bread was hard and the burger was dry but it just needed some ranch. I would definitely go back for the $20 mimosa pitcher though.
Unfortunately our experience at this location was not as good as it was at the Fort Worth location. The crepes were very dense but the El Torero Scrambler was really good. Our service was lackluster at best. While they did take the crepes off for the quality issue, the server was inattentive and had to be tracked down to pay for our meal.

I am so SO glad Jazzercise classes were on my Christmas list (and that they were gifted to me early). I was a bit nervous at first, but soon realized that the classes are FUN and there is absolutely no judgement. I feel stronger each time I leave! K
