We camped here a few months ago and did enjoy our time at the campground. The only real issue we had was the ants. We noticed right away before we even unpacked anything that ants were crawling up our chairs and table. We were bit a few times. We almost went to buy insect spray at one point because it was so bad. We have camped at other places and didn’t have an any issue like this so it may have just been our campsite. We ended up moving to a newer campsite with a nicer concrete slab and that seemed to help. Anytime we were outside we had to put our feet up which meant we couldn’t totally relax at our campsite. The campsites need to be repaved as the asphalt is broken off in pieces. The activities for kids is a big plus and the waterpark is a great addition to the park. There is a lot to do at the camp but I’d watch out for the ants. The spots for RV’s were also pretty packed in there so I wouldn’t stay more than two nights. Staff is friendly and professional but the website is a bit hard to navigate for reservations. We are on the fence about coming back but the cabins may be a much better option for some.
My family and I love it out at Jellystone. We have stayed in the cabins, brought a trailer, and have done day passes. Wonderful experience all around. Plenty of things to do for the kids no matter what their ages. Great pizza place on site. The best part of the place is the staff. Susan is the assistant manager there and the woman is a machine, constantly working hard, making sure guests are happy and taken care of. She is very much a big reason why we return to the park. Very much looking forward to returning.
My family, along with some friends of ours, came last weekend. We brought our RVs, so I can't comment on the rooms/cabins. We had an AMAZING time. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. It wasn't crowded because of it being off season, but the activities were still abundant. Hannah does a great job with the activities. All of the staff was great. Thank you for a memorable weekend!!!
This place was wonderful! My grands had the best time. The employees were all very kind and helpful. We met the GM, Garrett, the first day we were there and continued to see him throughout the park for the rest of our stay. He is hands on to make sure your time at Jellystone is everything you want it to be. We had a health emergency while we were there and every employee jumped in to help and make sure we were okay and taken care of, including Garrett. We will be back. Thank you to all employees at Jellystone.
This campground is decent. My family stayed in the Hill Country Cabin. It was clean enough (although there was a dead roach upstairs, and I needed to wash the dishes myself before using them.) The beds are not comfortable for adults, but my kid did not complain. Overall, the place needs maintenance. Lots of the mini-split air conditioners don't work, so they have added window units to the cabins. Lots of the water guns and equipment in the water park doesn't work. Things are dirty and a little run-down. The pools needed cleaning. We went during the week in the off-season and it was pretty dead. The good part is it was significantly cheaper, and we had the waterpark mostly to ourselves. The bad part is lots of things are closed, even things we expected to be able to do (like the pedal cars). We were able to do mini-golf (the course.... surprise.... needed maintenance), the water park, and the pools... but most everything else was closed. Would have been nice to have a few more activities available. On our last night there, they had a fun party for the staff and they opened up the big slides, so that was an unexpected fun thing! I don't understand everyone saying you need a golf cart. We didn't get one and were fine with a 4-year old. We walked everywhere and it was fine, the place isn't that big. The river is pretty and fun to explore. 4 nights was enough, I wouldn't do more than that. Would come again for a cheap vacation, but probably just for a weekend.
We had such a great time at Jellystone Kerrville. The staff was so kind and friendly and the park is beautiful. They offer so many things to do for all ages. My wife and I enjoyed pizza and drinks at the Pub. The bartender Sandra is wonderful! She really makes you feel welcomed, and she makes a GREAT margarita! The pizza and wings from the Pizzeria were amazing! We met a very nice man that works for the park. His name is David but most people know him as Cotton. We had a great conversation with this gentleman. He knows so much about the park and its history. He made a point to come to our site when we checked in late one night to ask if we needed any help getting settled in. Thank you for having such a welcoming staff, we cant wait to return.
SO fun! The water park made for ‘the best day of the trip’ according to my three year old. For reference, the day before I brought her to sea world… wish I had known that for 1/10th the price she would have more fun. The water slides were a blast. Plenty of umbrellas, and even more amenities we didn’t have time to check out. Wish I could’ve stayed longer. Bathrooms were clean, well appointed, and had a glorious amount of air conditioning. Made me feel nice and crisp after a hot shower. I would definitely go out of my way to visit again.
Jellystone really is a magical place for our family. We camp (aka in a cabin) two or three times a year! It has now become a family tradition. The cabins are always clean and inviting, the staff is always helpful, and there is always SO much to do. We love that as a family you can decide whether to do the complete schedule of activities or just do your own thing. Our children range from ages 4-16 and each one loves going. The water park has something for everyone too. Our kids love the hayrides and the fun competitive activities like candy bar bingo, the large connect four in the Rec center, and the weekly themes. Can’t recommend enough!

A great place to visit for your own spiritual journey or to take the family. It is accessible for the handicap , wide sidewalks, but very hilly. It may be difficult for older folks to walk up the hill without help. Great exercise for the rest of us.
