Yoga Refuge serves as the most accessible studio to those of us living in invisible Portland (east of 205) and attracts a committed and adventurous crowd of practitioners. I have practiced here for over a year now. The people and the space provide me with not just a great whole body exercise but foster a community that truly live their practice. I have had remarkable experiences with every instructor and feel like they all show up fully prepared while acknowledging what their own limitations are - in the moment or in general - and extend that recognition to the students.
Just got out of a class with Claudia. The flow was fantastic. Claudia was encouraging, open and informative. She fostered a very friendly energy in her class. Voicing praise to each student by name. This is exactly what I wanted and needed. My relationship to my body was restored and I left feeling a deeper connection to my fellow yogi… absolutely lovely. Thank you Yoga Refuge!
I got the new member deal and have been going multiple times a week to the evening classes. I have loved them all! I love how different the instructors are and what they bring to each class. I feel my flexibility improving and I feel so calm after ever class. I love the space also!
I love Yoga Refuge! Have been going there regularly for the past three years. The space is really nice....it's clean and open and has a really nice feeling with all the beautiful plants inside the studio. The teachers are all awesome and there is a good selection of classes and events.
I have been attending classes at Yoga Refuge for over a year. It is a very supportive community with a wide range of people -- ages, sizes, ethnicities and experience. There is a kindness and good humor in the studio that welcomes everyone without judgment. This is a great place to begin Yoga and a great place to come back to yoga after a break.
I’ve really enjoyed practicing at Yoga Refuge. The teachers are great and the studio is a very relaxing and welcoming environment. It’s a great community of folks who are all passionate about learning and growing and healing together.
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years now and I have felt the immense benefits for my mind and body. I was recently looking for a new yoga studio on the east side and I decided to try Yoga Refuge. For the first time in my practicing, I found a studio where I truly feel at home. I appreciate how everything here is very clean and organized. I have had wonderful instructors and met some very nice members of the community in the classes. I cannot recommend Yoga Refuge enough.
Have taken 5 daytime classes at Yoga Refuge. Each instructor - Micki, Jennifer and Heather - is knowledgeable, welcoming and flexible to the needs of individual students in their own unique ways. I so enjoy the top floor studio itself - how it overlooks Montavilla and Mt. Tabor and is always full of natural light. Will keep coming back!
Iâve been practicing at this studio since 2022 and Iâve absolutely loved it. The buzz around the place and the teachers are incredible. There are a range of classes to pick from and itâs so great to have the option for Pilates as well, especial
Love this studio! Highly recommend. I'm so glad I joined and everyone there is great. My one suggestion would be to please keep the light lower in sculpt classes. When the lights are bright it feels like a PE class and it is harder to get in the zone
I love this spot. They have one of the best cappuccinos in Portland. The staff is always kind, and friendly. And the tunes are always on point. Pro tip: ask for sugar crunchies on your capp. You wonât regret it!
Lexie is everything youâd want in a trainer. Smart, funny, and down to earth, but also tough enough to keep you motivated. Iâve been working with her for a year and a half and Iâve made significant progress in terms of strength and mobility. Iâ
I'm a Senior but luckily I've stayed in good shape all my life. Being fit is most important to me I wouldn't be able to enjoy my life without being strong and flexible.. I met Justin Olsen at the Club quite a while ago and he's been an inspiration an
I absolutely loved this spot!! We stumbled upon it after picking up some food from the Cart Blocks trucks. We were welcomed in with our food and purchased a glass of wine to enjoy with our food on the top deck. The atmosphere is so lovely! The serve
Best gym ever!!! I have been attending classes at PDX strength for years, they are challenging but scalable, and the environment is supportive, noncompetitive, and fun. I have recently started personal training sessions with Jocelyn and have made a
If you go to any coffee shop in all of Portland, this has to be the one! Ryan has so much experience in coffee and it absolutely shows. He puts so much care into each cup of coffee that he makes and his latte art is phenomenal ð¥ His espresso is ab
This place is fantastic. This was our first visit. The customer ahead of us was giddy to recommend their house made vanilla syrup for our coffee drink and the âwicked awesomeâ sandwich. We arenât vegetarians but he was so insistent that we chan
Awesome facility and located 5 minutes away. It was easy to find, although I wish it had a Risio sign outside. Their website was nice to navigate through and book a drop in session. Margaret the owner communicates and follows through and she looks li
The cart weâve needed! Rich flavors with the creamiest mac n cheese and mashed potatoes (my fave). Donât sleep on the desserts either. Somehow tastes even better as leftovers!
