When you think of Garden Grove, you usually think of Vietnamese food or at least that what I do. I would have never thought to drive down to Garden Grove for some bomb Korean food, let alone 매운 갈비찜 (Spicy Braised Beef Ribs). Yigah does their signature dish particularly special and different from other restaurants that specializes in this dish, especially the ones in K-town. My friend and I ordered their regular spicy with cheese and rice cake and it was hands down the best braised beef ribs I've had in SoCal. The meat literally falls off the bone when you pick at it and we both let it marinate some more in the sauce once we took the bones out. The sauce was addicting and we devoured it with the rice we had on the side. When the servers bring in out, you get to watch a little fire show that they demonstrate with their force to melt the cheese and that's always a sight to watch. As for the bossam, the meat was nice and tender and I liked how it was kept warm by a candle on the bottom of the metal dish they used. However, since both my friend and I focused on the braised beef ribs, we neglected the bossam the entire time and didn't each much of it. Overall, we did enjoy our meal here, in particular the spicy braised beef ribs and would come here again. Definitely come check out Yigah if you're in the area or you want to try out a new Korean restaurant in the OC!

The food is different from the Yigah in Irvine. I would say the banchan (side dishes) were a bit lacking, but it wasn’t too bad. The prices were pretty high, though.

Discovered a super yum Korean food restaurant in town, follow me! Highlights of the menu: 1. BBQ Short ribs 2. Bibimbap Their ribs are extremely tender and fall off the bone. The sauce is slightly sweet and savory, soo good! Quick service, casual ambiance.

I recently visited a Korean restaurant and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the portions were large! I highly recommend trying the bibimbap and the bulgogi bibimbap. The beef bulgogi was phenomenal and my favorite plate. The kimchi side was also fantastic and had the perfect amount of spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Service could be a tad better as there were limited staff who were walking extremely fast so it was hard to flag them down. Overall, I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

The GG area's hidden gem. I'd heard about this restaurant for a long time but hadn't had the chance to try it until a friend invited me. Surprisingly, this place exceeded my expectations, so I brought my husband here for the second time, and he enjoys it as well. All the food tasted delicious l, the servers were nice and friendly, and the decor is simple but elegant in Korean style. We will definitely return.

I had a great time at Yigah with my family. The place is spacious and comfortable, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and generous, especially the family size portions. We ordered the seafood pancake and the beef bulgogi. Everything was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavors. The seafood pancake was crispy and loaded with shrimp and squid, and the beef bulgogi was sweet and savory. We also enjoyed the complimentary side dishes, such as the radish kimchi, the bean sprouts, and the seaweed salad. To top it off, we had some drinks as well. They have a good selection of beers, wines, and soju cocktails. I recommend the bekseju, it was smooth and herbal. Yigah is a good place for a family dinner, or any occasion really. I will definitely come back again.

My childhood friend recommended this as I wanted to try out some authentic Korean food. Yigah Combo Special For $119 Spicy Braised Beef Back Ribs + $4 rice cake + $5 for cheese Seafood pancake Oxtail Soup Korean Style Tonkatsu Everything was delicious. The meal itself could probably feed 6 people, but their was only 4 of us. Started of with the soup with beef and noodles. It was good.. and per my friend.. it's a tad bland so that you can add salt to your liking (thoughtful!) The next dish we had was the Seafood pancake. Tasty.. probably something we would come back again to try once more. I loved all of the different flavors.. and it has green onions.. which I do like. The Spicy Braised Beef Back Ribs are spicy even at mild. Still though.. it's plenty of food... they give you about 5 large pieces ribs. Very easy to cut and take off. Tasty. Especially we added the cheese. The cheese made it over the top.. so rich and heavy.. but worth it. Finally we had the Korean Style Tonkatsu. It's thin and crispy.. just the way I'd like it. So.. overall the food went well. You can drink water or tea. I like that they give you the option for the tea. Would I go again? Definitely!

TL;DR The seafood pancake makes it worth coming here for sure. Ordered the seafood pancake (an essential) and the galbi tang. The seafood pancake is thick and pairs well with the sauce provided. The galbi tang had a great hearty broth and kept me warm sitting inside. The staff was friendly (think ajumma) ladies that weren't too quick but will get your food to you soon after ordering. Be patient with them. And the ban chan selection was just right with the amount of food ordered. Feel free to ask for refills of your banchan as the kimchi will typically go quick. But I always come back here for the seafood pancake.
