Located about 15 minutes west of Palm Beach airport, the Yesteryear Village is a quaint walk down memory lane. There are about 10 buildings dedicated to different functions of a turn of the century (19th to 20th) including a fishing shack, a general store and a few homes including the Riddle haunted house. It’s cute but there is not a lot to do and would be a quick stop (about an hour or less). However, the South Florida Fair also takes place there during select times of the year and that is a big deal with tons to do for kids…all types of rides, lots of shops and kiosks, and a multitude of food trucks focusing on fair favorites like ribbon fries, corn dogs, donut burgers, and the like. There are three sets of fees…parking (between $10 to $20), access to the grounds which includes the Village ($15 per person) and then ride pass (I didn’t not do any rides or even check out the prices…sorry). While we visited mid-day on a weekday, it looks like the fairgrounds will be slammed after work and especially in the evenings. Enjoy!

Yesteryear village, is a quaint little museum area of the South Florida fairgrounds. I can spend more time there, than the rest of the fair. It's nice and shady, the buildings are all old and traditional, they have museums in each one so you can go in and talk to the curators and they will explain everything. There's beautiful shade trees. They always have food trucks right there, it's got to be the most laid-back part of the whole fair, and great on a hot day because of all the shade. Sometimes they even have smaller concerts over there, I've seen several bluegrass shows that are only at the yesteryear village. Oftentimes they will even have historical displays, for instance, making sugar cane into sugar right before your eyes and letting the kids turn the crank and taste the sugar, etc

a really good organization. It is traditionally done and you should definitely come. It allows you to spend a wonderful day for the children and you. Thank you to everyone who is organizing. but I have a small note; You should reach this organization to a wider audience.

U.B.Kinsey/Palmview Elementary 4th and 5th grade artists spent a wonderful day here. Their field trip experience not only allowed them to draw and paint pictures of the buildings, but they were allowed to go inside many of them as well.

Amazing first visit! Definitely recommend. Jim at The Riddle House was awesome. He provided a walkthrough of the house. His explanation and knowledge really brought you back in time. The ladies that showed us the butter making OMG it was delicious.. Made me want to come home and make my own. Overall wonderful experience and will be coming back again.

Very nice place to take the family and go back in time, learn about history and how things started here in Florida. There are several replicas of buildings from the early 1700’s, 1800’s and some original buildings that were transferred there, which includes an old school,, a general store, blacksmith shop and other houses. They have a museum too, a general store for shopping and a lot of information to learn about the early days in Florida. We visited for Halloween, and in each station (house) they had candy for the kids, and they had a booklet to stamp with each stop to collect a big prize at the end. It was very entertaining and we learned a lot! I was transported in time specially at the old school!
