January 2024, after several days of long, gentle rains followed by several days of below-20-degree temperatures, some gorgeous frozen waterfalls had formed. There was still plenty of moving water in the stream beds, though, and you have to cross the streams several times to get to the good views. So don't go in winter unless you have great footwear to keep your feet dry & warm. Suitable hike for kids spring through fall only.
This area has the best waterfalls and rock bluffs in Indiana. Some of the waterfalls are off-trail and a guidebook is handy. Hoosier's Hidden Hikes covers the area in more detail.
Hike the three trails there in just over two hours. Was not at a fast pace and I stopped to climb on each cliff at the end of the trails. Climbing up the waterfall with the arch and then across the arch was probably the coolest part of the area. Only two parking spots...were four cars when I arrived at about 1pm. Ran into maybe 8 people. But when I left there were about 8 cars on the road. So not too busy. Was a very quiet hike which I loved.
God walk in the woods for some awesome rock formations and beauty of nature. Trails are well marked and fun to explore.
Really nice trail! You cross the creek several times and there are a few trees blocking the trail but every bit worth it! You will love the falls!
Wonderful section of indiana with some great waterfalls when flowing and few more hidden gems
Pleasant easy hike. Nice rock formations.
If you love walls of rock and waterfalls, this is the place I was surprised the falls were running. They are beautiful. Oh,ya there's caves too. The only complaint is the small parking space. People were parking along the road.
