Yangon - Burmese restaurant in Burlingame - 1136 Broadway, USA

A small and tidy eatery at the heart of Broadway. Parking can be a bit of a chore therefore. The decor is on the more minimal side but does not detract from the mood. The staff is friendly and took our orders timely. Lunch came out at a steady pace. The food is good but could be better. The tea leaf salad was light on the greens, the flavor dominated by the fermented tea leaf and the fried garlic. More crunchy than crispy. Also had the curry with chicken, the meat was quite tender, the flavor good if not exceptional. All in all a good place for a quick lunch.

Amazing service, great energy, educational, and of course the food was delicious. Please do yourself a favor and try the Nan Gyi Toke. Our waiter Eric was kind, attentive, and a great representation of Burmese culture and food. Will be back.

I LOVE this restaurant!!! I probably eat here 2 to 3 times a week. It has quickly become my go to lunch spot! I highly recommend this place 😋🤤

Great food with reasonable prices. Waitress was nice and attentive. They also have a seating area out back.

Service here was excellent. Very little wait time on a Saturday night for dinner. We enjoyed everything we ordered except the garlic noodles which were too salty

I cannot say enough good things about Yangon. The food is phenomenal, the service is great, the tea leaf salad to die for. The pumpkin pork stew is made to order, takes about 20 minutes, and is worth the wait. I’m drooling just writing this review. Just check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. These place is incredible! Food was unique and amazing! Highly recommend! Owner/ staff was super nice and friendly as well. The place is very clean too!

That Curry pork with coconut Rice is my favorite, make me childhood memory. My parents always talk about "Yangon"......
