Yang Ming - Asian restaurant in Salem - 341 S Broadway, USA

Pretty nice Chinese/Japanese restaurant and lounge. Kind of place people go regularly for birthdays, first stop on a night out etc. Food was not particularly exceptional, but tasty enough. Their drinks were very good though.

Yang Ming is my family's local go-to for the occasional weekend takeout and New Year's Eve dinner. They have a fantastic selection of food that we have always found to be tasty. Ordering by phone is fast and easy, paying with card is safe, and the food delivery is top-notch. Never had missing food orders, spilled sauces, crushed, or broken containers. I definitely recommend Yang Ming for Chinese and Japanese food.

Honestly my favorite restaurant to go out to eat or get take out. Both my family and my in laws are regulars as well as my and my husband. We will continue to eat here for our birthdays and family parties because the food and service are legitimately both always great.

We're new to the area and my wife is Chinese, so we've begun the search for local Chinese food that's good. After reading the reviews, we decided to give Yang Ming a try. We have a big family and we placed a big order for takeout. Three orders of beef & broccoli, two of beef chow fun, one of tofu and eggplant. When we got home, we saw that there was no rice included. Other than the chow fun, these are saucy dishes that don't really work without rice, so we called in. We were informed that rice is not included and comes at an additional charge. As outrageous as this is - I've never seen this in decades of eating Chinese food around the country - I would have considered it if they had told us up front. But they didn't even bother to mention that it wasn't included with dishes that traditionally always come with rice. There were also no utensils, and we're staying in a hotel. This was a $90 order and we weren't even asked about basic things. The chow fun was greasy and mostly flavorless. The other dishes were flavorful but hard to eat without rice. The restaurant was 15 minutes away and it was late, so we just weren't willing to go back and spend $5 an order of rice. I strive to be fair in my reviews, and the quality of the food isn't bad overall. But serving these states without rice is the equivalent of spaghetti and meatballs without pasta. I'm extremely disappointed in this experience.

Solid bar! Great place to meet and make new friends! My only complaint is that the seafood soup needs more seafood.

Tried them out for the first time on thirsty. Did take out. Dood was subpar at best. Rice was all stuck together like it had been sitting all day. Ordered with shrimp that was barely in there. The food was cold, and i ended up tossing $37 dollars worth of food. Never again there!

If you like Chinese and or sushi this place will satisfy. Ordered the house fried rice,( not on the menu) ask for it. The rice was flavorful, it did lack beef. Otherwise, it was a good order. The lounge was a nice atmosphere and had an attentive server. Would recommend for a visit!
