i pick food up from here all the time for work and today was the first ever time i sat in and i was blown away! i got the yum yum rolls and they were to DIE for. sushi isn't usually super filling for me but those were HUGE at a great price point! i will absolutely be coming back
It good place and good atmosphere. I not sushi or seafood. I went there for fried rice with protein such as chicken and it have avocado sushi. Both are good. My wife love there so I go there for her😊 we will come back. Nice waitress too.
Finally, good Japanese food that we don't have to drive 40 minutes, one way, to get to. Yamato is a welcome change from the last restaurant that occupied this space in Moraine Pointe Plaza. The place has been nicely renovated and is very clean. We ordered Pan Fried Gyoza for an appetizer and Teriyaki Salmon Bento boxes for lunch, one with fried rice, one with steamed rice. We were first pleasantly surprised by the crispy, tasty Gyoza (dumplings). Then came the flavorful grilled vegetables and salmon. Every item was fresh, hot as expected, and, likewise, cold as expected (California Rolls). I, personally, have to note that their water is good. I have to ask for lemon in my water at many restaurants to disguise the funny taste. But, Yamato's water needs no modifications 😆. We are excited to have Yamato in the neighborhood and hope the other locals will enjoy and support them, too 😃.
