1st time here.. LOVED IT. Large portions and great price! I got 6 pieces California roll and 6 pieces Shrimp and cucumber sushi, big bowl of miso and plastic plate sized salad with orange dressing. Only $17.
Everyone was so nice and checked to make sure I had what I needed and the food was good.

Loved it! The sushi and crab rangoon were really good. I gotta say, that was hands down the BEST chicken on a stick I've ever had. It had so much flavor. I ordered through Doordash and was worried because so many delivery riders get messed up. This was in no way a disappointment. *Update* We have now ordered 3 times and the only thing we didn't like was the fried rice. It's extremely bland. Everything else is great though.

My wife absolutely loves the Steak & Shrimp hibachi, I absolutely love their sushi and the soft shell crab app? That thing is so worth it, trust me get it. I've literally never had a reason not to tip them as much as I can here.
Not only is the food here AMAZING, the service is wonderful as well! I always get the sunshine roll (It's the best roll in town in my opinion) The food is always fresh and on point, I eat here all the time and my order has always been correct! The owners are so kind and very hospitable, 10/10 I will always come here for my sushi!! It's hard to find good sushi in Lynchburg, but once you've been to Yamato , you don't need to look any further, because the best sushi in town is served here! 😁👍💯
Yamato is a great place to go if you are craving really good sushi combined with friendly customer service! We have always been happy with our food as it is consistently terrific...not hit and miss as some other sushi places we've tried in the area. They are a family run business that takes great pride in providing freshly prepared food! Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Sushi has good quality meat with good flavor, and the rolls arent stuffed with rice l. Gyoza is fully fried and crispy. Unsuspecting and laid back environment. We enjoy coming here.

Awesome view! Tunnel can see through Mount Rushmore Monument. Car can stop on side to take a peak for a few minutes. Our Tour Bus went through this tunnel.
