My family and I enjoyed our stay here for over a week. The creek and the Ukranian food were the highlights of our stay. Make sure to bring drinking water, board games, water shoes and ask for a fan since there is no AC in the rooms. You do need a car to get anywhere around here though. Also there are adorable roaming kitties on the property!
Serene place to recover after busy city life. Went off season, got personalized service and homemade special cold recovery remedy! Kind, attentive owners. Rustic rooms, heaven for lovers of balneotherapy: sulfur waters from local well. Homemade ukrainian cuisine: 3-4 courses meals... Definitely will come back!
Great place to get away from a busy city life. The location is perfect. The hotel is situated on the river bank and you can enjoy nature sounds throughout the day. The room are small but very clean and cozy. The sauna was a terrific way to relax on the cold winter day. The food is delicious. Homemade Ukrainian food is like made by your mom or grandma. The best part of the hotel is the beautiful banquet room downstairs, which is perfect for small parties, dancing, or just relaxed chats with friends. The personel is fantastic, always trying to acomodate everyone's wishes. Highly recommended!
OMG My husband and son in law could not stop raving about the Xenia Resort Motel in Jewett / Hunter NY State They went with 11 other friends and were blown away at everything offered at this little piece of heaven in NY It is a quant rustic log cabin kind of resort with so much to offer. The rooms are a beautiful knotty pine country feel. The cleanliness is truly next to Godliness. The owners are the kindest and most accommodating people you could ever meet. The family is involved in running this amazing place. When you look out the back deck there is a creek that is so pretty and the sound of it at night makes you sleep like a baby. Playing pool or swimming in the creek or just sitting outside and admiring the country views is more than enough. The food, OMG is outstanding. It is all homemade, even the bread and is ethnic European and you really can appreciate what local home grown really means. You can eat to your hearts content because the servings are either family style or buffet. What can I say but thank you Oxsana and husband for making this a very eventful few days for my husband and his friends. If there were more than 5 stars, you would deserve 100.

Small but homey lodging. Homemade Russian and Ukrainian food was like my wife enjoyed in her native Belarus. Picturesque stream, wood burning fireplace in the dining room, sauna with showers soothed our bodies and minds. Less expensive than most resorts in the Catskills area. We will return!
My mom and I came here for 4 days in October. It was lovely. Super quiet, clean, and a wonderful view of the river & mountains. You're able to go and relax near the river! Which was a great plus. We didn't have a car but the owner gave us a great contact to drive us. They're very hospitable and helpful. The staff is so friendly, warm, and they make delicious Ukrainian food, they really overfed us! If you get food included in your deal, they provide! Did someone say "Fresh Perogies!" YES!! SO GOOD! And our room: The bed & pillows were so comfy and soft. Really great mattress. The bathroom smelled like Sulphur, their water source has many minerals, and we were showering in really nice healthy water. Highly recommend!
It was a magical vacation. Firstly it is located in prime territory. Mountains, wilderness and a beautiful clear river running through the territory that you can swim in, just bring your rock shoes. The owner Oksana is friendly, welcoming and always willing to see how to make your stay pleasant. She gave us extra blankets and offered advice on where to visit and sight see. There are places to hike, swim, kayak, old churches and Buddhist temples. And she is just a good person to talk about life with. The rooms have a sunroof, there is a shared refrigerator. Everything is adorned with vintage decorations and everything is made of wood, including the houses. The food is amazing. Traditional Ukrainian borsht, cabbage rolls w meat, salads and a variety of tasty pastries and coffee on tap. The cook is world class in my opinion. As for entertainment, there was a group of young couples from Paraguay who had played fun music we all danced to, and cooked fire pit roasted beef and chicken and offered it to everyone. We had a blast. The aura was positive and we made many new friends, all the people staying here were friendly and open. They have been returning here many times because of the reasons I listed. They also had a sauna open on the weekends. I only wish the resort was closer to where we live but it was worth it. It was a fun and relaxing vacation. Can't wait to return. Thank you Oksana.
Mama's was recommended to us by locals so we tried it for dinner. We ordered the sesame-crust Margherita pizza. The place is lacking in ambiance, it's counter service, they only take cash, and they don't offer fountain drinks (only cans or bottles).

The burgers were fresh and tasted really good - a fine selection of beer on draft. Made a good whiskey sour. The locals were really friendly and my guys loved this place
