We stayed here for five nights and check in was fast and offered a upgrade on arrival which we accepted for $15 per night, although we ended up on the 18th floor ! The room was big with a fridge and air conditioning but very noisy but much needed. The room was clean but very outdated and the bed not comfortable 😴 The room was serviced daily. The hot water took at least 10 min for a shower. The area around the hotel is very run down, there is a shop across from the hotel which has alot of undesirable characters hanging around which made me feel rather uneasy at times.Royal Street is much better further down with lovely shops and some beautiful hotels. The French Quarter is easy to navigate and Jackson Square is beautiful with Cafe Monde and more lovely shops. The Wyndam hotel staff are very friendly but main door closes at 9pm and enter through a side entrance. We had breakfast next door at Mr Eds and you receive a 10% discount showing your hotel room card, food was good 👍 The wyndam certainly needs a refurb so if it's modern you are looking for you won't find it here,no bar in the hotel so we missed that.

Everything was perfect during my stay at this hotel. I had no meals so I cannot comment on this. But the room was nice, with plenty of space and nice views to the Mississippi river. Everybody was very nice to me me and very helpful. And, above all, location was the best you could have, the best in New Orleans if you are a tourist. It was great value for money.

I checked in, paid for an upgrade, the mirror in the bathroom was broken, the thermostat was broken, and they showed me 2 other rooms, but they also had various issues. None were really ready for a customer. I ate dinner at the restaurant in the lobby, the bartender was rude. My steak was extremely fatty, I ordered the meal with jumbo shrimp as listed on the menu. They were medium at best. It really seemed that my complaints fell on deaf ears, I was made to feel as if these issues weren't significant enough for any reasonable solution to be made. So I checked out. There are various hotels in the city choose another

Rooms were good, beds are clean, pillows are comfortable. I would only suggest beds not be directly beside air conditioning unit. You either freeze because it’s too cold or you burn up because you’re too hot. The view from the hotel is simply amazing! My 5 year old loved to watch the boats go by in the river. We loved valet parking although kinda expensive. Hotel is in a great location…out of 3 days I think we only moved our vehicle twice maybe. Valet guys are nice, liked having a security in lobby. Elevators are way too hot though. Everything else was pretty good for my family and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks New Orleans for your hospitality!!

Great find! There are SO many hotels in this area, and if you have never been here before or in a long time, it can be overwhelming on finding the best place to suit your needs. This hotel seemed to be in a great location close to most of the things we wanted to do. It's in the French Quarter, but not smack dab in the middle of it where it would be busier, noisier, and more expensive. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Malcolm helped us get our room and situated. We're on the 17th floor and the view is unbelievable. The room is clean, spacious, yet simple. The shower works well- water pressure is perfect and the hot water comes fast so we're not wasting a lot waiting for it. I appreciate that. The only downers are that the safe doesn't work and there is no fridge in the room. Small inconveniences, but still worth it to be here. The AC works great which is necessary and welcomed with hot and humid weather. We're close to the river, restaurants, shops, and cable cars for easy access to anything. I highly recommend this hotel if you're unsure of where to stay.

This is prime hotel for being in the French Quarter. The rooms were nice and clean but the beds could have been a more plush for me. Housekeeping could have been more on the ball and clean the stay over rooms quicker. The desk crew was top notch. We had a executive suite in the living room there was two ottomans and a couch. It was weird wish I would took a Pic. Will I stay again. Yes. Location Location Location.

I had never been to New Orleans; it was my first time. I found this hotel, and they surpassed my expectations. The staff is friendly and professional; the hotel provides a doorman, bellman, and valet parking. It is so clean that you smell fresh from the moment you go inside until you get to your room. They have security, and the location is on point; there are so many great restaurants within walking distance, you’re inside Mardi Gras street and culture, and you can sleep so well, with no noise or any situation. They have a pool inside on level 10 (heated), and everything was great. New Orleans has so much to offer, from food to music, art, history, I highly recommend it.

Bad service. We stayed 3 nights. When we checked in the staff let us know there was laundry on the 12 floor and complementary detergent. The following evening I asked for a detergent and the guy asked a million questions before reluctantly handing it to me. Not sure why you would tell us about it if you're not willing to part with it. The AC in our room leaked the whole time we were there so the floor was soaked, it didn't really bother us until the smell set in on the 3rd night so we asked to be moved. And since we were moving rooms anyways I asked if there was any upgrades available. Online it had an executive suite for about $20 more. The front desk straight up LIED and said we were in the best room. He didnt want to be bothered with the extra work I guess so lying was the easiest thing. We weren't in the best room. That was it for me. So embarrassing to lie to a guest like that. This place is disappointing. If the room we were in was the best they had to offer then this place is extremely mediocre and overpriced.
