Our room was beautiful and very clean. Loved our stay. The staff very friendly and helpful with us. Check in and checkout was easy and guick We'll be sure to tell our friends and family that it's the the best place to stay when they're in the Champaign area.
We started with a two queen bed room but had to be relocated to something bigger due to an issue with the TV. The staff were great. John made our stay great and helped us move into a different room. The hotel is beautiful, nice pool, beautiful lobby, great rooms, high recommend. A+
WARNING: This is long.
We were on a road trip and I booked our stay here just a couple of hours before arriving. We booked via Expedia, and that process was fine. But then later we got an email from the hotel to check in online and that's when I learned that the hotel was dealing with renovations. When we got to the hotel, we went into the lobby and everything looked fine. But then we went upstairs to our room and from the moment we were in the hallway we knew things might be not so great. Horrible textured walls painted blood red (probably going to be removed as part of the renovation). We got into our room and the first thing I noticed was the peeling wallpaper right inside the door. The floors were laminated or vinyl "wood" but it turned out they were FILTHY (when I took a shower, there was so much black in the water and I had been wearing socks and shoes all day so the dirt only came from the floor). The first bed was so saggy in the middle that my husband and I felt like were going to cave in (my son was on the other bed). The closet was not finished - the wood framing was left unpainted, the bifold door was not yet painted, and the kicker was they put the handle on the wrong side of the door.
And then there was the bathroom. This was the room that clearly had been started as it had a new toilet (but the seat wouldn't stay up). The shower was the narrowest shower I've ever been in, but they had a tub spout (but no tub) and the faucet handle was so low. The rain showerhead had low pressure plus it was pretty low and we're all only 5'7" to 5'9" tall. There is nowhere to put shampoo or soap in the shower. The vanity was newly installed but you could see all the new plumbing underneath. The walls and ceiling had not been worked on yet as they had damage (the wall had a hole in it). The light fixture was way too dark for a bathroom. And the door was still banged up.
It's clear that Wyndham recently acquired this hotel from Radisson (there were still Radisson labeled items in the room) and I know they are trying to update but they really shouldn't be renting out rooms that are in the middle of being redone. My husband is a contractor and would be embarrassed to present his work in that state.
The two positives about our stay was the very friendly front desk staff and the full breakfast. Other than that, if we were staying more than one night, I would have immediately requested a refund and gone somewhere else.
Desk clerk was not friendly. The bolt on the room door did not work. There was no toilet paper holder (so how many times was that dropped on the floor). Booked a king non handicap room. Gave us a queen handicap room. There is very little lip on the shower entrance for wheelchair mobility. My husband took a shower and water went all over the bathroom floor and all the way out of the bathroom. The morning desk clerk didn’t seem to care about any of these issues . Tried to explain to me how a handicap king mattress is different than a regular king. Maybe it’s higher or lower, but I’m sure the measurements are the same. This is during the eclipse traffic & late in the evening so we guessed there probably wasn’t another room and just wanted to sleep, but not a pleasant experience.
Positive: The room was extremely clean, most importantly to me. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast had plenty of options and good coffee. Negative: The curtains did not have enough coverage to completely block the light from the parking lot, but rolled up towels on the window sills helped. Negative: ""
Positive: It was only 1 mile away from where we we going Negative: The HVAC didn't work. Looked like the room was still under construction. Extremely hot and humid. Pool was inside main area of hotel in the open. This caused it to be very humid. Let kids run around all night, very loud. No adult in their room. Negative: ""
Positive: The pillows and bed, breakfast was okay. Negative: They charged us again when we got there(for one of thr rooms) and the remotes for the tvs did not work. My first room was trashed and dirty. We had to move rooms.
1st floor hadn’t been swept but was upgraded to business suite for compensation 👍 1st set of towels had large stains in them as well. They will work with you to make things right. Other than the rough start the rest of the trip went really smooth and had no other issues.

An amazing place at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus. Nice walking trail, lots of trees as well as flowers. This year it is exceptional that we didn't see lots of fall colors here. In the previous few years, there were mesmerizing
This is a wonderful place for young and old alike! They have a children's garden and plenty of gardens for adults to look at. It's a must see!! Great place to get ideas for your own flower gardens.

I've been here for lectures, poetry readings, and concerts. It's a really nice multipurpose venue. Usually has food and drink available prior to events. I must say that the steps up to the building are formidable. There must be an accessible entrance
