Wyndham Garden Totowa - Hotel in Totowa - One Route 46 West, USA

This was an overnight stay to attend the concert at Metlife. The facility was what I expected considering the cost when compared to four and five star locations closer to the stadium. There have been recent upgrades made but in my opinion the renovation journey isn't finished yet. The staff was courteous and efficient. The breakfast was actually pretty good. Would I stay here again? Maybe but I'd look for any bargains at the four and five star hotels closer to Metlife first. The highway traffic noise was noticeable but not terrible. I didn't see any bugs or hookers like others have mentioned.

My stay at the Wyndham Garden Totowa was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! This was the worst hotel experience I've ever encountered. The hotel was disgusting DISGUSTING. The hotel itself was dirty and it smelled. There was an underwear sitting on the front desk when we went to check-in! The room had not been cleaned. When I went back to the front desk to request a new room, the front desk clerk told me they didn’t have any more rooms available. When I asked for someone to clean the room, he stated he can go up and wipe things down since they did not have a cleaning crew!!! Which means the rooms are not getting cleaned! I asked to speak to manager and there was no manager on site. I ended up leaving and booking another hotel. I understand this hotel is inexpensive, but it is inexpensive for a reason. Please spend the extra $50-$100 to stay at a better hotel, this place is horrible! The next day I called as advised from the front desk so I could speak to a manger and when I called there was still no manager on site. The person I spoke to was rude and hung up the phone on me. I ended up having to go through my credit card company so they could contact the hotel for my refund. Please save yourself the headache and don’t stay here.

The staff was great! The rooms were great for the price. This was more updated then most hotels around for the same price. They definitely need to finish the renovations. Also fixing the pool up would be a big plus. Great free breakfast (hot & cold). Just need some TLC in the lobby and hallways but not bad.

Check in was easy. We stayed for three nights and the room was never cleaned. We were assured by the front desk the room would be cleaned the next day as housekeeping had left for the evening. There were dried boogers (!) on the table next to the bed. The tub was clogged. My husband pulled out a HUGE mess of hair from the drain.||||We had to get clean towels from the front desk, along with toilet paper, since our room was never serviced. ||||I stopped at the front desk at least twice a day to voice my complaints, only to be met with wide eyed stares. ||||During checkout, I explained to the gentleman at the desk about my issues. He said he would check and verify my room was never cleaned, and would credit my credit card "at least $50.00". I checked out on Monday, July 1st and as of today, July 6, my credit card shows the full charge, and no discount.

Honestly not sure why this hotel is a 3-star hotel. The rooms themselves are fine in terms of decorations but the bathrooms aren't great. You'll stand in a pool of water in the shower and not enough pressure either. The rest of the hotel is quite smelly and service isn't great. Security is non-existent, they hand out replacement keys like candy without looking at anyone's ID. This to me was the most alarming area for this hotel. Anyone could ask for my room key and come on in whenever they want. The doors from the garage to the hotel are wide open and not monitored either.

Stayed about 3 nights about 4 weeks ago. Horrible experience. We booked room week in advance when we got there we were given a whole different room then what we booked. After wiping down the room and everything I spotted two bugs crawling on light and wall after looking up bugs they look like they could be bed bugs. I went down to tell the front desk person about it ended up waiting 30 minutes for him to show up and help me and told me to give him 30 minutes to figure it out cause he overbooked he never ended up calling room about the situation instead I had to go back down and he immediately gave me another on key. Went to second room and instantly was hit with cigarette smell. It was a non smoking room. My gf was having a reaction to the pillows because they were feathers in our first room they were cotton pillows and second room had feather pillows. We went down to ask front desk person about this and he said “he will try to get some next time.” All around the experience was bad. They were not willing to give refund due to us booking thru a booking app because the front desk person said they have to pay them and which he told us was only 70 dollars so he couldn’t give us that much money back. We contacted corporate about this and they were not helpful at all said they would email us back within a week and 4 weeks later still nothing. Another thing was the outside was completely trashed trash all over the floor of the entrance. Front desk person went outside to talk to someone and completely ignored all the trash that was on ground and flying away. I do not recommend this spot to anyone.
