This place is terrible, don’t stay here. I travel a lot for work and pretty much live out of hotels. I booked four nights here but my plans changed mid week like they often do and I only stayed for two nights. They still charged me for four nights despite giving me a receipt for two. I emailed the GM and so far he seems to be ignoring me. I’ll update this review if this ends up being resolved in a satisfactory manner, but I highly recommend not giving your money to these crooks. Update: Their GM, Mr. Rajat Gaur got back to me with some B.S. answer that since I booked 4 nights I was given a discounted rate and it couldn't be refunded. I know it's B.S. because I went onto their app and tried to book one night then changed it to 4 nights and it was the same rate. I even tried to reason by saying that I could see them charging me for the one night because it wasn't a 24 hour notice but the second night was more than 24 hours notice and should be refunded, but apparently they just don't give a damn about customer service, or customer satisfaction, or good business ethics, or just being decent human beings, so to hell with them.

The accommodations were satisfactory, however, housekeeping services were provided every three days, so it is advisable to request any necessary amenities. The hallway carpeting is in dire need of cleaning or replacement. The proximity to New York City is approximately a 25-30 minute drive by car, depending on traffic conditions. The ample parking availability was a key factor in selecting this location.

This hotel was horrible. Not only was it dirty and smelled bad, they gave zero cares about the transportation we needed to the air port. United airlines put us up in the hotel after our delayed flight from Dubai caused us to miss our connecting flight. Upon checking in, Christine told us that she could set up a shuttle for 5AM and got approval from her supervisor. At 5AM, the front desk person Mike Kin, said there was not shuttle until 7AM. When we explained what we were told the night before, he made no attempt to help us and responded, “Oh Well” when we were concerned we would miss our flight. Don’t stay here!

This hotel’s online photos are very misleading. It makes the hotel look much nicer than it really is. We were placed here by United when our flight was cancelled. It’s at least 20 minutes from the airport. The shuttle driver was awesome, but nothing else was. The carpets are all stained and damaged in the hallways. The breakfast area looks very run down and the breakfast was not good. It had lots of processed baked goods covered in plastic wrap with flies hovering around. You could get scrambled eggs and sausages (which were hot dogs) but the eggs had yellow and white clumps like she didn’t stir them before cooking them.. The rooms are dated, but clean. The bathrooms seemed updated. However, you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. It’s awkward if you want to get out of the room but someone is using the bathroom. There is no food available on site besides vending machines and breakfast. I would not stay here again.

The website and confirmation email lied: Check-in is at 4pm, not 3pm. When several guests had an issue with their key cards at the same time, staff were very slow to address it and communication was muddled and confusing. I think this place might be understaffed, which means subpar management. I liked that there is no carpet in the room. I didn't like the uncomfortable chair. Still, it's minimalist and clean, just not good for work. The restaurant looks nice but the food is mid and overpriced. Walk to a taqueria, instead.

If you travel alot like I do and your plans change, don't stay here. In addition to being overcharged, the staff was rude and my room wasn't clean. I wish that I could give negative stars. You couldn't pay me to stay here again.

Poorly managed and single man who calls himself manager handles all the concerns. Manager never on site to discuss any issue and doesn’t respond with calls only emails if he gets time. There is no one else there to answer your concerns. Ruining the big brand name Wyndham by stealing peoples money without letting them know. Going against their own policies. They charged our credit card before even we stayed. Vanity faucets are malfunction no cold water tap nasty front desk area and poor customer service with this Micheal guy who has no knowledge about customer service. Big NO to anyone who is thinking of booking this hotel. Stay away from this hotel and their staff.

I recently had a profoundly disappointing experience at the Wyndham Garden North Bergen, which can only be described as a blatant display of unprofessionalism and disregard for basic hospitality standards. From the outset, the hotel’s unethical practices were evident. Contrary to their stated policy of charging only upon arrival, they charged my credit card in full well before my stay. This breach of policy was merely the beginning of a series of unsettling issues. Despite my early departure, the hotel refused to refund any portion of the payment, leaving me out of pocket for a stay I never even completed. This inflexible approach to guest concerns highlights a severe lack of consideration and transparency. The most alarming aspect was the failure to notify me of the premature charge, further demonstrating their disregard for proper customer service protocols. The staff, unfortunately, only exacerbated the situation with their unprofessional demeanor. They were unresponsive and displayed a shocking level of incompetence, unable to address or even acknowledge basic queries. Their lack of knowledge and customer service skills rendered any attempt at resolving issues futile. Moreover, the condition of the rooms was nothing short of deplorable. The rooms were foul-smelling and in disrepair, with broken sinks and toilets that rendered basic amenities unusable. The state of the accommodations was not only unacceptable but indicative of a complete lack of maintenance and hygiene standards. In summary, Wyndham Garden North Bergen is a prime example of a hotel that fails to meet even the most fundamental expectations of service and quality. I would strongly advise potential guests to avoid this establishment to prevent encountering a similarly distressing experience. I would give zero stars if I could.
