Overall not bad. Rooms are outdated. View is nice ONLY get an ocean view room balcony they are the only good rooms. Front desk they were ok. Pool wasn’t bad. Access to the beach was easy. You have to pay park at hotel your staying even though their website states free parking… 1. dogs should not be a loud no one wants to hear someone loud dog at night barking room.

Stayed for 7 nights at Wyndham Garden in Fort Walton Beach in room # 602. All staff were courteous and nice. At check in, was given a document to place in view at windshield for our vehicle for parking. I WAS NOT informed at check in or during reservation a month or 2 prior (with Agoda app) that they charge for parking! I was only made aware of this at checkout when the front desk handed me my receipt with $70 parking charge added to my credit card they had on file; $10 per night (should be noted you cannot even check in until after 4 PM for the first night). Also, all of the parking spots are quite narrow, a larger SUV/pickup will be tight and could easily get “your doors dinged.” The fact the parking fees were not disclosed AT ALL until my checkout is bullcrap. There are no signs in the parking areas that indicate this at all either. What kind of hotel charges parking for their guests!? They think people walk themselves to these vacation destinations carrying their luggage in 100 degree Florida heat!? Shady business move in my opinion hence the unfavorable review. In addition to this, the security latch was essentially falling off to our room door, water pressure of the shower in our room was intermittently low, phone in the room did not work, top dresser drawer under the TV did not work (could not get open) and the bathroom ceiling exhaust fan did not turn on/function at all and there was not a safe present in the room either for guest valuables. Again the staff were courteous and nice but this parking fee BS is exactly that, BS!

Loved my stay. Room was spacious. Pool was great. Staff friendly. Breakfast place was good and my breakfast was enough for 2 days! For what I paid, I couldn't ask for more for a hotel on the beach.

I stayed here recently, and for the price I paid, it was a nice place. Nothing fancy, but it got the job done. The service was fine, and I appreciate that the customer service team promptly addressed and resolved an issue with my room. Kudos to them.

This hotel has beautiful views with easy,lighted beach access.Comfortable beds,very clean property and friendly staff. The pool was very nice. (Both of them) The bathroom was very small and water pressure was not good. It was our first visit to the area, we were not impressed. Not sure what all the hype is about Destin.. Clearwater is better. However hotel location is good and McGuire’s is a great place to eat!

We have stayed here as well as recommended this hotel to family and friends over the years, but never again. This place has really declined. They used to have a really nice restaurant in the lobby open for breakfast and dinner. Now it's just a coffee and donut place open to the public. Any food on property has to be ordered at the bar. The rooms are old, and if you do get one of the nicer "upgraded" rooms expect to pay more per night. The view is spectacular, but that's about it. We usually spend a lot of time at the pool, but the attendant lady was so annoying this past visit. Griping at guests constantly and walking around doing room verification so much that was eventually got annoyed of being bothered and left the pool area. Install a key lock or give guests wristbands, SOMETHING to show their guests and allowed to be there. I don't go on vacation and pay $250+ per night to be bothered like that. Besides the beautiful views from our balcony and the fun the kids had on the slide in the pool, I won't miss much

We were so hesitant when we read all the reviews before arriving. We took a chance and everything was good. Loved the hardwood flooring, the views of the beach from our balcony, the food, and service. If there is anything you wanna know, ask Minnesota Deb, who works at the pool area. She was extremely helpful and should be the Ambassador of the hotel. It was a Beautiful, Amazing, and romantic 15 wedding anniversary trip and we definitely are gonna come back. Knew the Wyndham wasn't the Ritz Carlton, so expectations weren't extremely high. The room was good enough for us!!! Plus the bartenders are awesome there. We had an Awesome time!!!

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, I called the hotel before booking and asked for a handicap accessible room. We did not receive one. Thankfully, a lawn chair we brought did fit in the shower which was our primary need for the actual room. I also asked if there was a walkway to the beach that was handicap friendly. I was told yes, but it was not. My mother-in-law had to go a few steps up the walkway then stop to rest many, many times before ever reaching the beach. It wore her out tremendously, maneuvering the stairs up and made me sad for her to be so tired out before reaching the beach.
