Wrights Dairy-Rite - Hamburger restaurant in Staunton - 346 Greenville Ave, USA

We stopped by on our way home but if we're in the area again we plan on coming back. Its a drive up fast food restaurant with servers that come to your car (or you can dine in). Food was awesome and the people that worked there were very friendly. The sign read open since 1952 and it really had that nostalgic feel. Great to see a local place still open with all the other chain restaurants around. The kids meal came with a car shaped box which was pretty cool too.

As old school as it gets, 71 years old and still going strong, they must be doing something right, great burgers 🍔 and fries,onion rings to die for, and excellent customer service. My wife loved the milk shake also 😋

We stopped here on a recent trip into Staunton. Wow, what a blast from the past. Everyone should stop in here at least once when visiting Staunton. It's not gourmet food, but it's nostalgic and fun. Grab a seat, use the red phone to place your order and that's it. Lacey, our server quickly brought our drinks, followed by our food a few minutes later. She kept checking on us, as well as the other patrons. The day we visited there were clearly locals and tourists filling the booths and tables. Worth a stop for anyone passing through or visiting the area.

If you like an old school drive in burger joint, this is a great spot! Not only burgers, but hot dogs, sandwiches, BBQ, shakes, and more. This menue should have something for everyone! We had two footlongs, fries, and a superburger. Dogs were excellent, sauce on the burger was not for me, but thats just me. Lots of people like it and the burger itself was good. Crinkle cut fries, which I love, were hot and came with salt for you to season to take. All in all a great place to get a bite. We ordered from our car but you can also enjoy a meal inside. We hope to get back and try something else on the menu soon. Go eive them a try!

This is an amazing restaurant. The food here is great and I love the retro theming. I also love the way they fix the buns on the hamburgers. The bathroom is clean and I love the way you order here. There are phones at the tables and you order on the phone. Amazing classic 1950s diner.

Visited on a Tuesday night and dined in. We didn’t use the phones to famously call in our order but the atmosphere was still great and the food was an added bonus. The homemade onion rings were incredible and I highly recommend sharing an order with your group. The cheeseburgers were decent, nothing special, but they got the job done. They also have the option to order from your car similar to Sonic, which we didn’t end up doing but seemed really cool. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. Overall it was a great experience and I would visit again.

The kind of simple food you'd expect at a classic drive-in. Reasonably priced with options to build your own burgers and hot dogs. I had a burger basket (burger with cheese, pickles, and ketchup), a hot dog with chili, onion, and mustard, and a chocolate malted shake. We split onion rings and my wife had a chicken tender basket. Burger was a basic patty and the hot dog with toppings was really good. Onion rings were breaded and cooked perfectly, though they could have used a little salt. Crinkle fries were perfectly crispy with a tender interior and the chicken fingers were great. Definitely would stop back when I'm in the area.
