Wright Motel - Motel in Kirkwood - 957 US-11, USA

Owner was very nice, even picked me up. Rooms look like an old crime scene. Mold, filthy carpet, old unclean furniture. Nothing to get comfortable in. I found one bed bug on the railing that supports the box spring. I was gone in less than 3 hours.

We were driving back from Buffalo and got tired. All the better known hotel chains were booked. Beds were comfortable but the bathroom was kind of dirty with spider webs on the walls. It was hard to tell whether parts of the bathroom were dirty or just stained. The water was just barely warm enough to take a shower. The shower curtain had seen better days, or probably better years. It was kind of gross. There were two towels but only one wash cloth. There was only one tiny bar of soap that you had to use for the shower and the sink. Couldn't find an ice machine or a soda machine. The owner seemed very nice but the place wasn't great nonetheless. The room had a faint smell of enclosure, not so bad. I got used to it after a few minutes but my wife didn't.

It's a older hotel but it is clean and well-kept the outside is clean the rooms are clean showers are clean bathrooms are clean older TVs with a cable box like a flashback that staff very nice the price was really good my room had a microwave in it also I would definitely stay there again. I don't always say that

This is not a chain hotel. It is privately owned. Nice area, neat and clean. VERY QUIET AND PEACEFUL!! DRUG ADDICTED OR LOUD AND RUDE PEOPLE!! DO NOT COME HERE!!. NY STATE POLICE ARE 5 MINUTES AWAY!! I loved it, and the price was very reasonable. Thx again😘

This place is fine if you want to have a simple place to sleep. It’s old but clean. There are holes in the walls from old installations of hanging hooks and picture frames, and spots on the mirrors and other things that could easily be fixed. It’s not falling apart, it’s just used and older. They seem to take decent care of the property, though. Nothing is out of place and there aren’t glaring construction issues. Things are not bent out of shape and there's no warped walls or anything. It reminded me of an old house that's been around and hasn't been updated and is hard to make it look shiny anymore, but you'd have no problem setting foot in it or staying over.||||However there are some pretty glaring problems you should be aware of. The thermostat didn’t work. They obviously know that because before we even settled in, the clerk walked over with a portable heater. And yes, it was cold in the room, and more annoyingly, cold in the bathroom.||||Another major issue is this place is very close to a race track. They did not stop racing until 11:15pm and it was loud.||||The people behind the desk seemed very nice, though.||||If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay and the weather is nice outside and there isn’t a race going on, this is perfectly fine. Othewise, I would avoid. I called and they said they do not take AAA. Room rate was $55 when I showed up in April. When I called a week earlier they said $50, so I'm going to assume that was their Sun-Thu rate. Not that I would know for sure, but that is around the price you'd pay as of the date of this review. I'm sure the price probably changes depending on the season. But this is all the info I know because none of this info is online anywhere else. Not on their website, not on any travel website, or on a search engine.

Good no frills motel. Has a micro, fridge, cable and free wifi! It is clean and the bed is comfortable. It is dated but all in all, a good value. Stayed by myself at this motel and at no time did I feel like I was not safe.

I work as a truck driver and broke down in the area. After a week of being in this hotel I could have not asked for better. The hotel is simple with microwave, fridge, and cable. Very simple setup The owner is what made the difference.

Never again. Owner rude...room shower curtain moldy. Showered with socks on, feet hung over bed, kept all luggage in truck over night.
