WorldMark Palm Springs - Resort hotel in Palm Springs - 1177 N Palm Canyon Dr, USA

WorldMark by Wyndham Palm Springs is adequate. Nothing more. Nothing less. This property is a converted hotel. Photos and descriptions on the property website are deceiving. ||The pros: ||The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. There are activities offered like all other WorldMark properties. The game room and fitness center are small.||There is a small “market” in the lobby that offers cold beverages, snacks and a few sundries.||The property is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Downtown Palm Springs where you can find many restaurants, Walk of Stars, galleries and selfie opportunities.||The pool is easily accessible and the hot tub is large. The pool and hot tub are the best part of this property. ||The cons:|The condos are very small. We have stayed at many WorldMark properties and this is by far the smallest and least impressive. ||We booked a two-bedroom unit. There’s a love seat and one chair in the living area. To access the Murphy bed, you have to move the sofa, coffee table and chair. Extremely inconvenient. ||The kitchen is tiny. Although the fridge and range are standard size, the dishwasher is not full sized. There is little cupboard space to put away groceries and little counter space. ||The master bath has NO storage. The tub could use a good deep clean. There is a door in the master bedroom to the hall. There is no soundproofing and you can hear everything and everyone in the hall. ||The second bathroom is located by the front door away from the second bedroom and the stacked washer and dryer are in that bathroom.||There is no utility closet in a common space. A small floor sweeper and other cleaning equipment are located in the second bedroom closet. The closest also has a small chest of drawers inside which takes up a lot of space. ||The layout of these units is weird and really isn’t efficient or esthetically pleasing . It might work for a night or two, but six adults in this two-bedroom unit for a week is crammed and uncomfortable. WorldMark did a poor job converting the hotel to condo. ||Overall, we’ve been a bit disappointed with the unit, but the pool, employees and getting together with family have helped make our stay pleasant.|||

Great service and close to many restaurants as well as a liquor/small grocery store directly across the street. Very clean facility with nice pool and hot tub. Friendly and helpful staff. Onsite self-service store for quick microwave meals and toiletries. Ten minute taxi ride from airport. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds.

The resort is in a great location right on the Palm Canyon strip for shopping and great restaurants. There are beautiful views of the mountains, when you are lounging by the pool. The unit is clean and spacious and comes with a barbecue. Staff were kind and helpful. Tia at reception was especially helpful and went out of her way to accommodate our requests. She was amazing! Hallway noise a bit loud at times but nothing terrible.

Room 215. This morning as my wife was making the bed she noticed a bug, she smashed it really hard so she or I couldn’t identify it but noticed it was filled with blood. She took it to the front desk and the manager said it was probably a bed bug. He asked her if she wanted another room and she said she would go back up and ask me. She came upstairs and asked me and I said yes let’s move. We were told it would be about 1.5 to 2 hours for another room. When she started packing up the bedroom she noticed another bug and yelled for a paper towel, this time she didn’t smash it as hard but the blood squirted out and we looked at it and compared it to an internet picture and this time we were sure it was a bed bug!!!! She quickly called the front desk and spoke to the manager and said we DID NOT WANT ANOTHER ROOM!!! We asked for our points back and $$ back. The manager was nice and apologetic gave us our points and money back. He said he called pest control to take care of the room BUT I am just worried that our room may not be the only room as well as we left early are they going to really have pest control come and spray AND if they do spray what are they going to do with that mattress??? I hope nobody else has to go through what we did. It totally gave us the willies. We drove back to Arizona with our vacation cut short. We went online and had Amazon deliver us bed bug spray so when we got home we could spray our car, our shoes, our suitcase, and washed ALL of our clothes in hot water hoping we DID NOT have any hitch hikers .

Our stay was perfect. Thank you so much to Eddie for accommodating us. Front staff were so nice and welcoming. Rooms were clean. Pool area was nice. We will definitely be back.

I've been a WM owner for 2 decades and this was the most disappointing stay. Room was very run down and not at all what I am accustomed to with WM: there was a damp/sweet/musty smell in our unit, a bowl of mashed potatoes was left in the fridge from prior occupants, kitchen and bath cabinets were in very poor condition inside and out, one screen door to patio was very difficult to open, tracks of the sliding door were broken, patio had a long built in planter that looked like the plants had been removed 15 years ago but the holes for them were still there (very strange), garbage in the hall piled up for days before being removed, washing machine broke and flooded entire bathroom. Saving grace was staff and location - staff took care of most everything they could when we brought things up, including sending ozonator into room to remove most of the smell. Be aware, units do NOT have A/C - only swamp coolers that do not work when the temps outside are lower than those inside - but we couldn't open doors at night because of all the road noise and helicopters landing at the hospital across the street. They need to update this location desperately!!

Stayed here for an extended weekend. It was a really great hotel and honestly felt more like home. I loved the fact there was a full kitchen. Staff was amazing, I had told them it was my husbands birthday and they surprised him with a little gift. Game room was awesome and we spent our first night hanging out in there. Saturdays they do cookouts which the food was great! Casino is only a short drive away. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone staying in Palm Springs! Will be staying here again next time!

Although this site isn't the most updated in terms of amenities it is a great stay. The staff is awesome and the location couldn't be better as far as close access to all the best parts about Palm Springs. 5 min drive from the Aerial Tramway!
