WoodSpring Suites West Monroe I-20 - Extended stay hotel in West Monroe - 230 Blanchard St, USA

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The pictures are NOTHING like what it actually looks like in person. As soon as I opened the room door I wanted to run away. I had driven from Miami and was very tired so I was willing to deal with it. After showering I was hoping to get some rest but as soon as I lifted the sheets to get into bed I found bed bugs!!! It was so disgusting. There were several in both beds! At that point, my daughter and I grabbed our belongings and ran out of the room in our pajamas. We were left to find a place to stay at almost midnight! It was disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE!

This was the filthiest place I have ever stayed in. The floors were so filthy that I went downstairs and asked for a mop and bucket so that I could mop the floor. The shower was also filthy and we had to clean that also. Ms. Theresa at the front desk was very nice and helped me with my key not working and also getting the mop and bucket. The location is very good.

Ok first off the whole place smelled like WEED!! Big time!!! And then our floor smelled like someone was cooking a smelly fish that would make you gag!!! The rooms are super big with lots of space for you to move around and also lots of space for you to organize your belongings. They just remodeled at the first of the year so everything is pretty new. I love the color scheme they have going on it makes everything so bright. The only bad thing about the room was that they had not cleaned the floor EVER!! I used 80 count Lysol wipes to wipe the floor because I could see all the dirt and spills everywhere. There were spots under both beds where people had spilled drinks and left them for room service to clean but they didn’t clean it up either. At least the bathroom was very clean. I will post pics of the floor and room. All in all if it wasn’t for all the dirt it would have been quite a deal to stay here.

Positive: Nothing. Location great but hotel was very filthy Negative: The floors were very dirty. I had to mop the floors myself because my daughter had walked on the floor and afterwards she cleaned her feet and the cloth was filthy. The shower was filthy and we got cleaner and cleaned it also.

Cut my vacation short. Unfortunately it takes more than friendly staff to run a hotel. So I would start off my saying the staff was amazing and friendly. I was a bit Leary of the reviews and still decided to give them a try. BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ !!! THIS HOTEL IS FUNKYYYY! It smelled like a mixture of fish and sweat ! Each floor had a horrible smell once exiting the lobby my child would immediately talk about the scent. The first room I was put it was nasty. There was dirt on the walls. There was a hole in the bathroom door and the smell was bad. I called the front desk to ask for a new room and maintenance gave me push back but eventually gave me another room that was far better and cleaner. I ended up going to Wal-Mart to buy plug ins to help the room smell better. About the 3rd night I wasted water on the sheets and when I went to change the linen the pad was soiled with all sorts of brown looking stains. I was disgusted to know I had slept on that. I did spray the beds and sheets with Lysol before sleeping but it’s the principal on cleanliness. I will NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN !

Lady at front desk at check in was so kind, the rooms were spacious and clean. The ac was nice and cold. It’s mostly extended stay so no coffee pot in the room. All in all a very nice stay. Would definitely recommend.

Let me start by saying YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Pros: it is located near the interstate with plenty of restaurants and shopping stores nearby. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms have a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, large microwave, nice size sink, and 2 burner stove. Some upgrades noted such as the floors and kitchen sink faucet. Cons: the walls are paper thin so if you are a light sleeper like myself, you won’t get much rest. Even during the day time, you can hear every conversation, other people’s TVs, doors slamming and feet stomping in the rooms above you. The guy next to me had a a nasty, hacking cough that I could hear all throughout the night. It’s just constant noise!!! The room APPEARED clean upon arrival but after doing more thorough inspections, there were MANY areas missed. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in random places all throughout the room like the sink, on the A/C, even found a random hair or 2 in the fridge 🥴. I spent nearly an hour cleaning the room after checking in before I felt comfortable touching anything. Even the remote control was grimey and somewhat sticky. The shower head is loose and will likely come out of the wall if you pull too hard while adjusting the shower head. They also have some very strict rules. For example, you have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk in order to get more towels. And you have to pull your own trash when you leave which I found to be kind of odd. They also charge for kitchen supplies such as pots and pans. The AC was noisy and the room furniture looked rather torn and tattered. The bed also looks more like a cot. Overall, if you just need to lay your head somewhere for a night, this isn’t a bad option but I would prefer not to stay here again.

The check in ladies where phenomenal! I just can't stand the smell. It's not the cigarettes but something else that makes me physically sick. The room looked clean but again there was a smell that seeped into everything. I mean everything. I threw my sheets in a bag and everything near it had to be rewashed. Including clean clothes, shoes and my purse. Stuff I did not even bring inside caught that odor and had to be cleaned. One of the Worst experience I ever had if not number 1.
