I THINK SOME OF THE COMMENTS ARE LYING BECAUSE THIS HOTEL IS ACTUALLY NICE I STAYED FOR 2nights and I was there for about a few weeks months ago so I just checked about a day ago, I don’t smell whatever they are smelling 1 day it smelled like someone was burning some aluminum foil or something But that was it, you do have to be open to it’s different type of peoples in these room and they cook different things I have also seen a woman pray and she had her lights and candles so maybe the smells are just different people an maybe they should have short stays on the 1st floor and long stays should all be upstairs to avoid the 1night stays……the price of the stay nightly is a bit much I feel they should be 80$ a night not 120-130 a night but that’s just me, the laundry is expensive there, the younger housekeepers always look mad or sad or idk they don’t smile at all only one who smile was the nice elderly black lady, also they don’t have breakfast or a gym or a pool…. I feel the owner should just lower his prices for the hotel in general and see how the numbers actually go up, Fargo is growing more and more so setting up deals would get this hotel back on the market pretty fast as a go to hotel
When we got here the check in staff was on the phone with a personal call. It took a couple minutes but we got checked in and signed the no smoking paperwork. The halls smell of cigarettes and weed so it wasn’t a good start. We got up to our floor and there was a huge stain on the carpet in the hallway. We opened the door to our room and it smelled musty. We still can’t figure out what that smell was. The bed is decently comfortable. Probably wouldn’t recommend
Rooms are good for the price, but walls are paper thin. If you get lucky, you’ll sleep thru the night fine. As far as my stay, the people next to us had a shouting match at 4am that woke everyone up, and had to contact the front desk to get the situation sorted out. Won’t be coming here again. Update: cops were called. Female was picked up by her mom, unknown as to what happened to the male.
The hallways are stained. ||It smells terrible. ||Flys in my room. ||Beds slide off the box springs by barely touching them. ||Elevator only goes up! At least from floor 2. Had to take all bags down the stairs. ||Most residents are extended stay and you can smell everything they are cooking. ||They make you sign a no marijiauna during visit yet the entire building stinks of marijuana. ||Whatever fragrance they use to cover up the marijuanna and smell of the extended stay guests is unbearable and strong. ||Stay away!
This is an extended stay and a lot of people live here that cant pass background checks to rent anywhere else. Probably the worst place to stay in all of Fargo. Even though they make you sign a statement saying you promise not to smoke week win the rooms, my bathroom reeked of it. The halls smelled like weed and cigarettes. The sheets looked 30 years old. It was so loud most of the night with people just sitting by their cars blasting music and smoking. Definitely do not recommend.
They have HOUSE ROACHES. We were there for two hours and seen a total of 7 roaches in the room 4 out the three being baby roaches. The sheets and blankets smelt like they were dragged on the floor and the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and itchy. The staff were rude when it was time for us to checkout. Our checkout was delayed but they treated us as if we weren’t trying to leave and even brought in men to intimidate us into leaving while we were in the middle of leaving. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you like ROACHES, dirty linen, and an itchy environment.
This was by far the best Woodspring we’ve stayed in. We travel for work every month and have never seen one so nice. It was very quiet the whole time. The staff was amazing and they love dogs. I felt very safe as a small woman to go outside and walk around. I could go on and on about how great it was to stay there but I decided to keep it short.
If you’re hesitant to stay here for an extended stay let me clear it up for you! Fiancé and I needed a place to sleep when we were in town working at Sanford Hospital. Our stay was for two weeks and it was perfect for us and a dog until we moved into a furnished home. The staff was very polite and accommodated every need we had in a timely manner. Hotel didn’t smell bad and was smoke free but you could smell cigarette smoke from time to time inside. There was plenty of cooking utensils provided by the staff when asked which made cooking in the unit totally stress free. We didn’t have to spend a dime on any of that stuff except for the food we brought in. The bed was comfortable for us which was a plus and shower water pressure was great too. They do have laundry on site but we found it cheaper to go out to a local mat. We were told by staff that room service would be once weekly although they never did show up during our stay. When I asked about it they said they were short staffed and might be able to get someone to clean it. We did however have no issue replacing towels, linen etc. at our convenience. This place definitely checks off everything you’re looking for if you’re a traveling professional and used to staying in extended stays. We did have some noisy guest staying on the floor above us some nights. No judgement but there’s definitely some people that probably call this place their home due to the junk outside the hotel that just sat there in piles but we still felt safe during our stay. Finally, it was great for our dog too because across the street was a plowed lot that our dog could go pee and poop on as well as throwing and playing with his ball. Overall, I’d definitely recommend staying here at the WoodSpring for an extended stay and I hope my review makes you feel more comfortable making your decision!
