So glad we stopped in! The freshly-baked wheat bread and blueberry pie were both amazing! Also really enjoyed the excellent cookies and we are anticipating the jam as we haven’t tried it yet. Such an unassuming little place, but had to stop and check it out. So glad we did and it was our good fortune that you decided to stay open just a little longer at the end of the season. All the best!
So glad we stopped here. We picked up some delicious specialty cookies and bread, but also grabbed some fresh vegetables to cook up in the B&B we are staying. There’s not a lot of options for food around where we are staying, so we stopped here while exploring the area. It’s such a cute little shop and worth the trip if you’re headed past it. They have plenty of little souvenir options at decent prices.
Great baked goods and the best place to buy jam in the area. Dozens of flavors--all made from scratch in the bakery. Grows and harvests a lot of his own ingredients--especially fruit--like thimbleberries and wild raspberries. Maybe that's why the flavor is better and the prices are lower than other area jam sources.
This place is wonderful! I have bought jam, books and postcards here every year. So many cool local rocks, copper and souvenirs too. This year I’m trying baked goods. 1st the wild blueberry pie; outstanding, brought me back to the pies my grandma made, today we tried the tart cherry pie, fudge and white bread; everything was fantastic. Highly recommend! The copper country is charging up to 4% on card sales this year so bring cash! You won’t be disappointed here!!
Smells of delicious baked good when you enter. Big selection of jams. Prices are very reasonable. Wooden spoons and bowls. Stones, rocks and stickers. Very friendly owners.
I highly recommend stopping at the Wood'n Spoon. Their baked goods are delicious. Gourmet Bread, cookies, pies, jams, sauses, marmalades, syrups, honey... Copper everything and other collectible trinkets. Handcrafted wooden spoons and scoops. & So much more... We'll be back for sure.
My husband and I enjoyed our visit last September. The owner had some very interesting (and delicious) types of jams and some delicious Irish type of bread. I cannot wait to return when we visit again!
Forget the Jam Pot and their long lines this place is way better.Great selection of jams and bakery items and their most interesting souvenirs
Pristine Lake Superior shoreline. Gorgeous sand beaches, beautiful rock formations and rustic roadside facilities. Make sure this is on your list of places to go while in the U.P.
Cool little beach, great place to view sunset (at least in the summer months, when it sets more to the northwest; can't speak to what it's like in winter months. Probably frozen.). Rocks are smooth but still can be slow to trudge through. We thought
This is a great place and a great location. Easy to get to and on a good corner of the street. Very cool on the inside, they sell ice cream, food, souvenirs, etc. I had a shake. It was a good consistency and I love how they give you wider straws for
Best burger I've had in a long time! Got the Buffalo blue cheese cooked medium. Better beer selection than expected as well. Will 100% be back, and cannot wait.
