A woman owned business with unique locally designed apparel, candles, incense, and other goods. This was such a breath of fresh air over the cookie cutter T-Shirt/hoodie designs in souvenir shops from our 3 previous port visits on our cruise. They are one of the few stores/shops that has offered a military/veteran discount which also sets them apart. This is definitely worth a stop and the best specialty shop in Ketchikan!
I bought a shirt and hat while in Ketchikan. I absolutely love them. The shirt faded after 1 wash (Note: make sure to wash inside out) so I reached out to see what my options were and they replaced it for me. They were very attentive to my situation and couldn't have been any nicer. I would highly recommend buying from them while there and the products are so nice that I'd recommend them even if you aren't visiting. I wear my hat nearly every day! Thank you all again so much for all your timely help!
Woodlands is genuinely the shop to stop in when in Ketchikan. Friendly staff, REAL local goods that aren’t just local, but wonderfully designed. Modern, quality, and so much more than the generic cookie-cutter products of just about every store in town. A lot of it is not only designed in house from a local designer, it’s also printed right there. I loved this shop, I think you will as well. Definitely my first recommendation when in town. The very definition of “Shop Local” in the best way.
I visited this store on one of my vacation stops and Nevaeh was the associate to help me. She was so funny, personable, and helped me decide on a shirt for me and a couple of gifts for friends back home! :) She had great recommendations which was so helpful for me buying non-generic gifts, too. I love supporting small local businesses and it was easy to support this one because everything there and that I bought was well priced, high quality, and I loved the quality and unique shirt designs!! Highly recommend purchasing from here!
These guys have the best tshirt designs and quality. After wandering through so many tourist shops looking for a shirt it was a nice change to find Woodlands. I have gotten lots of compliments on my shirt and bonus, you can order online too! Had a good chat with the owner who is super nice. Definitely don’t miss this place!
They had the most beautiful tshirts and home goods! Very unique gifts. I got a Tshirt and a sticker but will be ordering more online. Love small businesses like this. The girl working in the store was super friendly too! Love the vibe of this store.
I found Woodlands after being referred by Parnassus Books while on an Alaskan cruise. Not only was I blown away by the wonderful design aesthetic, but I scored major points for the unique designs on the shirts I brought home for my 24 year old twin sons. Do yourself a favor and visit the store or the website if you’re not in Ketchikan - you won’t regret it!
If you are getting off a cruise ship, go find this store!!! You want something unique? Something designed from Alaska? Made in Alaska? This is the place! The staff is very friendly and it is a great spot to stop and spend your money!

Beautiful lake! You can get a free shuttle to downtown from the cruise ship port, and then itâs a long and pretty steep incline walk through some neighbourhoods to the trail head. Thatâs the hardest part done! Only then a very short steep walk an
Was tough, harder than I expected. Hiking from sea level up to 900+ m would be fine, but last 250 m of height was in snow (June 7). Trail was 1 to 2 meters below the snow so it did not help too much :-). In some areas it was so steep that I grabbed t
We were in Ketchikan port for the day and rented a car. We lucked out with a beautiful day. Ketchikan is known to be one of the wettest areas in Alaska. We wanted to go as far away from the crowds and this was at the end of the main road. This is
This hole in the whole was a perfect spot to grab a few drinks and have a cigar right on the back patio overlooking the water. Friendly staff and a full bar. Leave a dollar!
Great find! We tried the oatmeal cream and gingersnap cookies, and the blueberry muffin. They were all delicious and the lattes were so good too! Would definitely come back if Iâm in the area again.
So easy to be on and off the docks here. Port security uses facial recognition but ship is close and easily accessible to town. Most tourist things are right off the ship in easy walking distance. Hit Mount Roberts Tram early or the lines get long
This is a wonderful place - one of best donuts Iâve ever had! There is a whole board of flavours, some are standard but others are so unique. I had the cinnamon crackers donut (like uk cinnamon grahams breakfast cereal) and it was amazing- still s
Very beautiful hike that is not far from town. I took an uber to get to the far end of the trail by the college and then it's an easy walk back to town from the closer end of the trail.
