The lady at the cafe (white lady with black and purple hair) was so rude to my daughter. Kept rolling her eyes at my daughter, telling her to speak up several times, rushing her (with no one else in line), and at the end of ordering rolled her eyes at my daughter once again and said “oh my God”. Keep in mind my daughter didn’t take long to order. I was watching her from upstairs. The lady just felt the need to rush her and be rude. My daughter said the girl had the worst attitude. My daughter (13) is so shy so of course she said nothing to the lady about her attitude, but I hate that this lady gets away with an attitude like that at a church of all places. My daughter told us “it’s ok”, but it’s not! I expect attitudes like that other places, but I’m so sick of seeing it in churches.
I really wanted to like this place. Everyone spoke very highly of it. I took my 2 boys and toddler age girl and we tried our best but could not get out of there fast enough. The kids were screaming in a frustrated and frightening way. 🫣 Parents didn't seem concerned. We figured it was just us so we left and tried to calm down and splash around in the splash pad area. We even tried to play in the outdoor play area. My son was quick to notice that the screams could still be heard. As we waited in the shade for a minute to gather our belongings and head back home, we witnessed a mom and her 3 kids having a melt down of her own. Yelling at her son and calling him names. I felt cab bad for him and quickly grabbed my kids and headed to our car. Was this a fluke? Did we catch this place at a bad time? Is this a sign of the times? We're all screaming into pillows at home and the kids can tell so they scream and let it all out in public? 🫠
The girls had a wonderful time playing. Such a great place to beat the heat. We will be turning and have plans to play in the water too. The girls are so excited to go again.
It is so nice of them to open this free to the public. My children had a blast. It's an indoor play place and there's an area for big kids and little so the toddlers don't get trampled. Everything was clean and looked well taken care of. There is a coffee shop right next to the play area so you can order a drink while keeping an eye on your kiddos. Lots of seating for the parents. So happy we found this place and thanks again to the owners for allowing us to come use your facility. There is also a beautiful walking area in the front with a small "river" going through it. The grassy area had children playing soccer when we went. There were lawn chairs set up with adults reading books in them. It looked like a scene from a movie! Then around the corner was an outdoor playground that was very nice as well.
We go here often because Houston and outdoor summer play do not go hand in hand, but with energetic children, a place to run and scream is essential. The church campus is lovely and in better weather, we spend time walking around outside. Inside there is a coffee shop, a toddler play area and a second floor play area for older children with some pretty excellent elements. There are tables with chairs and also cushioned chairs to sit on while your kids play. Bathrooms are available for use, water fountains, too. We've been going here for years and don't plan to stop anytime soon. Look online before going to make sure of closures.
Free fun all around. Indoor playground. Splash pad area. Open lawn for sports and running. Even a bakery inside for snacks and drinks.
Awesome place for kids to play. Indoor playground is packed but plenty of area to play. The splash pad was pretty empty when we went but the kids still had fun. Plus it's free. Great entertainment for kids during the summer.
Why 4 stars when its great! Where else can you sit and drink coffee with friends while the kids have a great time! Right next to an amazing hand made import store from missions around the world. This is absolutely my go to for a coffee date/play date with my friends and their kids. Couldn't be cleaner or safer either.
